*Elbow Injury* Question
I hope this is the right place for this kind of question... (BTW I intend on staying 100% natural.)
Okay so I injured myself 2 years ago doing 95lb dumbbell incline presses, my left elbow just gave way, it started rotation outward and something clicked. Now my elbow clicks every time I straighten it completely. If I work out light it warms up and I feel no pain until an hour or two after the exercise. Basically anything from a 40lb dumbbell curl to a pushup ends up causing me a lot of pain sooner or later.
4 months ago I went to a Orthopedic Doctor, got an X-Ray/Cat-Scan couldn't find anything wrong except for some minor fluid. He gave me a cortisone shot that did absolutely nothing for me.
So that is my situation, I am hoping some vets out there have some good advice for me, Bodybuilding is a huge part of my life... I started in my early 20's, I am 28 now and have lost 20lbs of muscle.
Do I work through the pain until I require surgery and get it fixed?
Or do I lay off completely for 6months to a year and just concentrate on legs?
Oh and I apologize in advance if there is a better thread for this topic.
Thank you,
Eric

Sounds like its tendon related. Wrap it up tight during your workout and leave it on for about 20min after and then take it off. Working around the pain may cause you to lose gains as you cannot do the things youre used to or even pushing yourself to do heavier. I have the same issues but take time off sometimes to let it heal up some. Wrapping it though makes it bearable during your workout. Hope this helped some.

Sounds like almost exactly what happened to me. Kept beating on it and had to get surgery. Ended up being my Ulnar Nerve clicking over my bone every time, sucks big time. Had surgery last Feb but have to get it again because the nerve came loose again. Lots of pain and numbness all over again. Hope for your sake its not nerve related. Have your doc do a nerve test on that arm.
