You gain weight if you go over your caloric maintenance. Depending on how far over you go will determine how much fat you gain. Spend some time in the nutrition section learning about diet and macros.
Oh..so ur tryin to say if i were to drink one and i go say over 300 cals maintenance i wont really gain any fat per say? Ive ready all over the net "oh that wont be a good idea youll just gain some fat if u drink it before bed cuz it wont burn off the carbs"

Let's say you need 2000 calories to neither gain or lose weight, your maintenance. You could eat 1000 calories right before you go to sleep and still be fine if you've only eaten 1000 during the day. Carbs before bed or fat before bed isn't going to make you fat like a lot of articles say. If you were to eat 500 calories about maintenance every day you will be able to gain weight while gaining minimal fat. Eat say 1.5k over maintenance and you'll gain weight faster, but you'll gain more fat.

There are several other factors that due play a role in the caloric maintenance line, but this is generally what you should be worrying about
I'd make my own weight gainer before bed. Skim milk, whey, casein, lowfat cottage cheese, etc. Manipulate the macros so that you're getting what you need and none of what you don't (many store-bought gainers). I eat before bed and still have abs. It's like others said above. Totaly calorie intake. With the right kind of calories you'll be fine.
You can ask some of the most educated people in the world and you'd prob get all different answers. Me personally I just plan out my meals so the last 2 or 3 are only pro/fat or a zero carb protein shake. Just airing on the side of caution.
