I am not sure my teacher says it is a cheat way of squatting but like everyone at my school box squats more then their reg squat.

lmao school teacher... please get a real WEIGHTLIFTER to check your form.
-
You are box squatting wrong. Your box squat should be less than your back squat as it is harder. I struggle to box squat 315lbs for a couple of reps.

Not all school coaches are bad. I coach lifting at a high school in the summers.

Not always, some people have trouble knowing when they hit parrellel and have a box to touch lets them know when to go up instead of wasting energy sinking a couple more inches down.
-
Good lifts at your weight, keep doing what youre doing.

Yes always. If you are just touching the box then you are doing it wrong.

If you "sit" on the box you are risking injury to your spine. You lose the natural concave curve of your spine in the lumbar region.
-
lol at this box squat argument

No you don't, not if you do it right. A box squat isn't touch and go. That's dangerous as you can injure your spine from bouncing off the box.

There ya go, now you can do them correctly.

Well your teacher is an idiot and everyone at your school is doing it wrong. No one's box squat should be more than their free squat.

I pause for about 1 second on the box

Keep on marching forward soldier

Trust me you are doing it wrong if your box squat is stronger then your back squat. Especially if you say your coach said it was good lol, high school weight rooms are full of high squatters and the coaches love it because they can tell other coaches that their player squats X amount of weight when in reality they don't even hit depth.

Well the box i use is nearly 90 degrees at the least 85 degrees due to we don't have a smaller box
i use box squats for low reps-very heavy
-
lmao how do u squat 225 free weight but box squat 315? vids or we'll just assume you have a broke back mountain form.

Ok I don't know what you are trying to prove here. It is not possible to box squat properly more then you can back squat, especially such a significant amount more.
