Shoulder blades sticking out?
I've had this problem all my life.. it's genetic because my mom has scoliosis. With my shirt on I look completely normal, but if you look at my back from the side, my shoulder blades stick out and my shoulders and neck are pushed forward, making my back into an "S" shape. Like I said, it's not severe yet, with my shirt on no one's the wiser. And I can also physically pull my shoulder blades in, then I look normal... but I want to get rid of this condition for good. It's sort of like the second picture here (although I'm not nearly that big) [apparently I can't post links... just search "shoulder blades stick out" on google images and it's the 5th picture]. That's what I look like when I'm relaxed, but I want to look like the first picture.
I focus on posture 24/7 but is it possible to fix this through weight training? I workout 6 days a week, doing my back every day along with one other muscle group. I noticed that I can't swing my arms back as much as other people on the rear delt machine. My back is gaining some muscle (gets very lumpy when I flex, if that makes sense), but the condition seems to be the same.
Thanks for any help.. I don't want to be stuck like this forever.
