It's still against federal law. Why is MJ getting a special pass in that regard? o_O
I know the answer.
DD, you see a man in that picture? LOL...I thought it was just one of those ugly hippie chicks. :D
No, it's a dude.
Most hippie chicks are beautiful. :)
-
Maybe. I see hair growth under the nose. But the shoulders are narrow.
-
I would never! I walk, ride my bicycle, car-pool, or take public transpo when possible. I drive the most ecologically friendly car I can, and I plan my trips and errands to leave as small a footprint as possible.
I never just "take a car ride" for the hell of it.
Ah, you are one of the enviros that actually have some credibility then. I feel stupid for driving my pickup truck every day to work and back, but I don't do it because it's cool I do it because that's the only vehicle I have. When it's paid off it's Prius all the way. :p
Wait... driving the most ecologically friendly car you can still makes you cool in the hippie circles so how do we know you're not doing it to be cool after all? ;)

Hair growth under the nose doesn't mean anything. (srs)

I do it for both reasons. :)
Many friends iof mine NEED pickups for work. When I lived in Tahoe there was no WAY I wasn't going to have a truck with 4WD.
Whenever I talk about how I try and do my part, though, certain people get uppity, and feel they have to both justify why they have what they have, while also putting me down for choosing to live the way that is right for ME.
Not sure if srs.
I think the bottom line is that we are unsure if it is a guy or a chick....scary!

That meme has been going around FB for a while. I know someone who claims to know the person, and they swear it's a dude.

I have a SUV that get 14 MPH, 4WD, lifted and the worst aero dynamics in the world. It's excessive, bad for the environment and I fill the carbon foot print of 4 people. Currently it has a oil pan leak so I give back to the earth the oil I took from it. :)

Skull shape says "chick" but still somewhat masculine.
Androgyny or maybe asexual at best...usually reads as militant lesbian.

All that, and you STILL can't compete with a volcanic eruption.
Hell, 1000 of your cars couldn't compete with a volcanic eruption for sheer pollution capabilities.

I understand. Some people take that approach when I say I own a gun.

Sh*t. I was just over on gunbroker and AR lowers are going for $250-$400 /ea!

Holy smokes, maybe it's time for me to go ahead and unload the one I've had in the cabinet for 4 years.

I have a fair number as well that I'm not using for anything. It's tempting.

I thought it was a chick too.
Easy there amigo. It wasn't an "automatic" weapon nor is it a particularly heavy caliber. It's was a .223 Bushmaster M4 Carbine SEMI-Automatic, meaning 1 trigger pull, 1 shot. Not full auto. Full autos have been regulated and prohibited from general ownership since 1934. You have to have a Federal Class III firearms license to own them, although that never stops the gang-bangers down the street does it? It's true a .223 is the same caliber as our military rifles but a lot less powerful than most hunting rifles. Further, they are used in teeny-tiny fraction of crimes because they are hard to conceal. Know what the #1 weapon of choice is? .38 special snubbies that can be hidden real easy, are simple to use, don't jam and are cheap. What IS different is these type rifles LOOK real scary with black stocks, pistol grips, bayonet lugs, flash suppressors and other military-esque features but are in fact no more dangerous than many, many rifles hunters use every day.
And that's the problem because otherwise reasonable people like you, who readily agree to a right to bear arms, get kind of bamboozled by a lying media into believing things that just aren't true. The gun didn't do it and didn't force the kid to do it. Millions of law-abiding folks own such guns and don't go gunning others down. Like me for instance. It was a SICK, DERANGED KID who CHOSE to kill other human beings. Blame him, not his choice of weapons because he could have done just as much damage with just the pistols just like the W. VA killer did a few years back.
Sorry hoss, Class3 weapons, those that are fully automatic, have a bore diameter over .5", have a barrel length shorter than 18" for a shotgun and 16" for a rifle are 100% legal to own.

I hate to defend him, but he did say they were legal. Reread what he wrote.

So to simply keep with the flow of traffic, one DOES need a vehicle that can travel over 55mph, apparently. :)
