Nope, just clean eating. Only running on about 70 Grams of carbs a day though. Still did 100's for shoulder press last night for 6 reps though, so I was happy with that! I am taking a test booster now though, so it might be keeping my strength ok.

The booster is called Triazole, and no counting calories. I'm assuming he knows the calorie count, but thats not something I've ever done Rick lol
The booster is called Triazole, and no counting calories. I'm assuming he knows the calorie count, but thats not something I've ever done Rick lol
O, so he gives your specific foods and amounts...I get it lol...yeah i'm sure he's figured out the macros
At 70g of carbs a day, thats technically considered keto, I assume theres some fibre in there so you can subtract those grams of fibre from your total grams of carbs, and Im sure your daily carb intake is closer to 50g
LithiuM who is your coach if you dont mind me asking, I use one as well and love it (but Im lazy and its cheaper in groceries knowing what I eat day in day out), makes life so simple and for the price cant complain with the results.

Wow 70gr of carbs a day is pretty low for a guy your size. It scares me to think that when you add more back in that the weight creeps back. How long is he going to keep you at that level? It takes about 150gr on average per day for the brain and body to function properly, just sayin.
I am hard depleting right now with only about 5% of my calories coming from carbs and that is only carbs from protein sources, no fibrous anything right now......and it is effing tough, I feel like I am on a friggin emotional rollercoaster. Even at 70gr per day, there were days when it was a challenge.
For anyone shopping at Costco, Ive started taking picture of the sale signs and compiling a list of foods that I buy (its not everything but somethings that I buy). Kinda comes handy when looking for deals and scrolling through grocery store flyers. Feel free to add to it (can post up a pic or pm me or just list it how I did and Ill just keep adding to my excel file) and if anyone wants a copy of the excel file just shoot me a pm with your email. And it doesnt look like its going to come out all nice and fancy like in my excel file :S

I know 70 Grams is low, so I'm going to ask him when that's going to change. My body is starting to get used to it finally, but it makes lifting a little bit harder.

Lol you think 70 is bad, Im at 50g that includes 18g of fibre so 32g.... Ive been on this diet for awhile now, and Im used to it. My lifts havent really struggled that much, actually I hit a PR on DL last week
some people do better on higher fats instead of higher carbs. The lowest I got in my prep was 170 only for like 2 or 3 days though, usually hovered around 240g.

wow that seems like a lot of carbs before a show, how far out was it that you were having 170?

under 2 weeks, it's all dependent on the person. There's a very popular prep coach Alberto Nunez(FATHER_FLEX) from 3DMJ who never went under 400g of carbs during his entire prep.
If you give yourself enough time to prep and don't start off your prep super fat, you will probably have a decent amount of food during prep. It's when you are 50lbs over stage weight and give yourself 12 weeks to diet.
Cant see shyt captain. Not even the words that I am typing. Got my eye exam apointment over and done with to apply for pilot. Eyes are dialated like vrazy, would make for an awesome halloween costum except Id be almost blind. Going to be stuck like this for the next 7 hours. Heres a pic, hope it the right one.
all prepped and ready to go?
unfortunately, I had to push my comp date out...my ex got admitted to the hospital for a bone marrow transplant and with the kids full time and shuttling between school, hockey and hospital just 3 weeks before comp, I couldn't find enough hours in the day...UBER disappointed...I have to do it in the spring now. I'll cheer you on though and continue to work my ass off!

I learned that lesson this prep... If you don't gain 30-40 lbs off season you don't need 20+ weeks of miserable prep.
Go figure?!

I know it's making it rough, but I'm still shoulder pressing 100's for reps, so it's not like I'm weak atm.

probably won't notice any strength changes for a while considering you still have a lot of weight to lose. Your endurance is probably what might go down. Most people actually get STRONGER when you start prep and I think part of that is the fact that it's prep so ur super motivated and your nutrition is usually on point. Eventually you'll probably lose some strength but shouldn't be anything crazy. Your leverages are different when you lose weight
