Hahahaa! Your ramblings are funny :D lol! Well, you [I]could[/I] keep going for another month if you think you can, but a 2 pound gain in one month may only yield about ~0.75-1lb of muscle, tops. Which would definitely add up though! At this point I would agree with Mammie and say do whatever makes you feel more comfortable. Definitely go to maintenance first though- newly acquired strength gains are hard to keep once you stop bulking- I can almost guarantee if you jump right into dieting that bench press would be nearly impossible to achieve after a few weeks of lowered calories. I'd drop to maintenance for at least 2 weeks, then slowly lower cals if I were you, when you do decide to start losing :) Bench 135 at least few more times before cutting!
Look at your quads sticking out in the mirror behind you! :eek: Your legs are looking so shapely and awesome! And your hair does look really blond in that picture! :)

That's it! I need to find a Lulu store (I've already checked, there isn't one nearby, lol) and buy up all the expensive pants. If I'm going to be working at home now, I'd much rather that be my official uniform. Not those tights though (maybe one pair), but those other awesome looser pants.
No advice on the cut/bulk conundrum. I was planning on bulking til mid Feb, but I can only fit into a total of 4 pairs of pants (2 slacks, 2 jeans) and I have to take a work trip for a week mid-January. 2 pairs of frumpy slacks won't cut it for 1st week on new job. I don't want to buy more because I will be working at home after that week and no need for fancy pants. Anywho, I'm sort of cutting. I haven't tracked in several months, so I'm tracking and keeping myself at about 1500 to see where that gets me. Now these ppl at work are throwing me a going-away potluck today and so far I've seen: cookies, donuts, cupcakes and little weiners in bbq sauce. Have these people (that I've been working with for 15 years) ever met me? lol

[b]Weight Loss[/b]--so what do we figure is a good rate of weight loss? There gonna be a big whoosh at first ya think? Eating 2500ish now and here and there but have only put on .6 in the last 4 weeks. Worst Holiday Bulker EVER!
Full disclosure=My little street is doing a biggest loser thing. I know but I can't NOT do it (I have to...just leave it at that). I'm going to eat like a strongman until Sunday as pictures of scale are to be submitted by 5pm. It will last 12 weeks. I don't plan on winning unless I'm paired with a male that loses a bunch (anonymous partners) since I don't have a ton to lose/still won't add up to a huge percentage. Sorry if I'm not making sense here but I don't feel like going into detail about the rules since you don't care anyway (it's ok i understand). Anywho I'm [i]probably[/i] still going to aim for another 1.5 gained [b]but[/b] I'm not sure that matters a ton at this point??? Erg I'm waffling. Hate that.
OK let me try and talk this out:
Originally was thinking bulk until mid-Feb/24 weeks/12 pounds. I'm at 9.5 pounds gained since start of bulk but [b]17[/b] from my lowest last Spring. If I'm bored later I'll figure out my monthly averages from last year. God how am I 17 pounds heavier lol.
Currently I don't think I can bulk that much longer. I'm feeling OK today but that changes by the hour.
So if I stay at 2500 cals until the end of the month and put on, say, 2 more pounds is that really a big "deal" in the grand scheme of things? Keep going and just hit the weights as hard as possible?
Stay at 2500 and add in a smidge more cardio and hope to maintain because 2 pounds isn't "worth it"?
Dammit am I making any sense? Lori? You usually get what I'm going for...lol!
Also I'm thinking I don't want to cut too quickly, right? Preserve as much muscle as possible and all that.
Another option (if I'm feeling good about gaining) is to keep the original "bulk for 24 weeks" and say eff the competition on the street. I'd only be out max maybe 30 bucks for the main comp. Could still win some later (I put in a "keep the weight off or lose more 8 weeks after contest:D thing). If I get to
143 by 2/15?

Hi P! As far as abs, I feel the best way to do them is to do every excercise weighted. At 122, if you did weighted abs for ALL excercises, I'm sure they would have shown up a lot more.

At that point I was doing almost all weighted because that's what people on here told me to do:D I was probably doing planks and swissball pikes maybe body saws but all crunches/decline sit-ups, etc were weighted. I have an eensy frame, honestly. This is form about that time and I was flexin'. Nice layer of fat still covering stuff:(

You can only see my abs because I'm leaning back and flexing under down lights. When I stand up normally there are no abs. :(. I definitely need to reduce body fat for my abs to be more plainly visible!
