i won't rush out and see ant man but i'm gonna dip out of work here in about an hr and catch a day showing of avengers.
if you want to see a good AI sci fi movie, which is probably more thought provoking then avengers, check out ex machina. that was surprisingly good.

Heard it was meh. Kind of looks like the first movie but with a different villian. I expect Civil War (the next Cap'n A movie) to be more interesting.

actually ant man is the only one i'm interested in
because it's wacky in that paul rudd way, that can only be wacky because it's paul rudd
also deadpool...because the same thing with ryan reynolds
strong comedic actors make any movie better, including comic book tripe

Thanks, bro.

Ah, I just didn't like the idea of ant man stealing the suit. ant man just seems like a terrible super hero but being brilliant scientist like in the comics and recent animated series took the edge off that for me.
And deadpool, yes, that should definitely be good.

Apparently, he was also responsible for inventing Ultron but I guess they changed that to Iron Man for the movie.

They changed it to Iron Man and Bruce Banner working together, which isn't much of a spoiler since it happens right at the beginning of the movie. Personally I'm glad that they haven't worked Hank Pym into any of the Avengers storylines because he was a total f*ckwrench.

Van Wilder, er, I mean Ryan Reynolds... I just can't take him seriously as Deadpool.
We will see if he pulls it off though.
So I treid that last night.
It would start out with an Aussie accent and somehow morph into southern plantation slavery a la Django Unchained.
The gist of what I'm saying: I am terrible at imitating accents.
What I was trying to say was, "Hey mate, what do you say you and I get some Vegemite, go on down to Croydon, and watch the bogans?"
Would be interesting to see how close you gentlemen can get to a real Aussie accent.

Green Lantern to Deadpool and Dare Devil to Batman. Mind is full of ****...

I can, because he was great as Wade Wilson in that godawful bad Cleveland Steamer of a Wolverine origins movie, before they made him a stupid, changed, suck-ass "Deadpool." He was actually the only good thing in that movie.
-
Would be interesting to see how close you gentlemen can get to a real Aussie accent.
I would need to practice more. I can do okay at first but by the second sentence or so I start to lose it for some reason.

And Deadpool is good/chaotic good (nerd!) or neutral? in the new one?

^ Exactly that. Ryan Reynolds is practically the best actor to play the role and he showed he was pretty much a perfect Wade Wilson. He was the only good part of that travesty of a movie and his role was only in the first 10 minutes.

yeah
van wilder was ownage
like, ownage

That was not deadpool. That was some test tube creature that was closer to Baraka from Mortal Kombat than Deadpool from the comic books.
Actual Deadpool is an anti-hero. He is literally insane. It is unknown if he actually knows he is a super hero in a comic book or he just thinks he is. He breaks the fourth wall often.
-
Frep, you want a brief overview into the character of DP, then watch these two videos:

This is the teaser they put out for the new movie and it is great!

I shall suspend my skepticism and let the movie stand on its own tho.

This is also great stuff:

39 images from actual comics that are hilarious.

The CGI guys in that SUV look horrible.
wat the hell
The quirkiness though, that could be good.

You should also watch the other video. It'll give you insight into the character and his powers and also how he acts in combat.
He tends to say, "Bang, bang, bang, bang!" while shooting his guns, since in comics, the onomatopoeia is typed out.

You have 0 reader experience for Deadpool it seems.
His personality is so sarcastic/witty that I cannot even think of a better actor to play him than Ryan Reynolds. If Robin Williams' personality was put into someone with the physical presence of Chris Hemsworth then that to me would be the only better option.
Reynolds has the size and physique as well as natural wit to deliver the outlandish sarcasm of Deadpool better than anyone else in Hollywood.
