BCAA Supplementation improves breathing
BCAA supplementation decreased blood CO2 levels by 9%, which normally increases with exercise.
It also increased average oxygen intake (by 19%) and minute ventilation (by 22%), which measures the volume of gas inhaled by the lungs per minute.
Finally, BCAA supplementation increases ventilatory response, which allows the body to process and receive oxygen at higher rates

60/mg/kg/hr, brb setting an alarm every hour to take more BCAA's and therefore further disrupting REM sleep but the study says it helps so quite the paradox
Imagine their sleep if they had only used peptide bonded

They’d be asleep for days at those high doses ;)

which brand/product do you recommend?
I’m not sure what is worse representation, the lawsuit or these threads.
The only issue I have with BCAA's is the mislabeling.
Everyone is always kissing Extend ass but my tub of watermelon bcaa's clearly says 0 calories when it's well known that bcaa's contain calories.
I’m not sure what is worse representation, the lawsuit or these threads.
I still say the Fizzy Grape was delicious no matter what.
Just try it bro. j/k.
But it was tasty.

That's an FDA beef not a supp industry beef. Not even Nutrabio puts that down on their label. If only one company lists their BCAA as kcals every noob that stares at the label not knowing what they're looking at sees it has kcals vs every other BCAA is kcal free the product wouldn't sell. The company doesn't make any profits. Supplement companies are businesses and require profits to exist like any other industry.

Amino acids (BCAAs) are not complete proteins so this is why they list 0 calories. Complete proteins are another story, and these are required to list the calories they contain
So glad I took my BCAAs...... Im gonna sleep GOOOOOOODDDDDD tonight!
Also, has anyone here been diagnosed with sleep apnea?
Where are you headed with this then?
Labeling laws allow the 0 calorie.

I was curious if anyone with sleep apnea found their symptoms to dissipate when consuming higher amounts of BCAAs
I was curious if anyone with sleep apnea found their symptoms to dissipate when consuming higher amounts of BCAAs
I highly doubt it as sleep apnea is interruption of sleep due to the sleeper being unable to breathe at certain points in the night. It has nothing to do with BCAA's.
By what proposed mechanism would we think BCAAs would alleviate sleep apnea?
By what proposed mechanism would we think BCAAs would alleviate sleep apnea?
I honestly have no idea. Esp since the issue is physical obstruction of the airway while someone is sleeping. Unless hes getting at central sleep apnea which is where the brain fails to send the signal to breath, but then again. I don't think BCAA's are going to do anything in that regard.
