Battle on the Border Writeup!
Weighed in at 264 and competed in the men's open 275 equipped since I used knee wraps.
Squats:
Attempt 1: 257.5kg/567lbs. Not bad, wraps were a bit goofy.
Attempt 2: 270kg/595lbs. Easier than the first.
Attempt 3: 282.5kg/622.8lbs PR! Perfect 3rd attempt, ground it out, didn't have a pound more in me. But, all-time squat PR!
Bench:
David Ricks was head judge on the heavyweight platform for bench, and he was making the pauses pretty exaggerated. I thought they were a little unfair, but everyone had the same disadvantage. I knew I had 440 in me, but not with a 3 count pause, so I didn't go straight to 440 like I'd planned.
Attempt 1: 190kg/418.8 lbs: Pretty smooth.
Attempt 2: 195kg/429.9lbs: Pretty tough, didn't have much more in me.
Attempt 3: 200kg/441lbs: Not even close.
Deadlift:
Attempt 1: 215kg/474lbs: Not that easy.
Attempt 2: 227.5kg/501lbs: I got one side off the floor I think.
Attempt 3: 227.5kg/501lbs: Same thing, I think one side was nailed to the floor.
So, overall I ended up with a 692.5kg/1526 total. Not my best showing, but I got a squat PR. Deadlift was awful, as usual. I ended up 2nd out of 4 guys, and the other 3 were all using full gear. And I actually only lost by a few pounds, I may have had a chance if I got my 2nd deadlift. I had subtotal, no problem.

I've hit 500 and 505 conventional before.. figured it was worth a shot since the first one wasn't going anywhere..
Yay squat PR, acceptable bench, and then deadlift embarrassment.
