Genius? Let me tell you about genius. My grandpa graduated from oxford at the age of 20, has given talks at nasa, has been paid to have his papers published in major scientific and trade journals (whereas normally the person pays to have his work published). My dad once made the company he worked for 20 million. Unfortunately, his boss was a racist (most likely, he might've just been stupid) like you and only offered a lunch meeting at some fast food joint as reward. So you know what he did? He took INITIATIVE. He quit, and moved back to china to make a fortune. Now let's just say he's fuking loaded.
As for me, I've been fuking white girls since the age of 13. And I'm going to keep fuking them because I have money and status. The world is literally in the palm of my hands.
Now let's take a look at you. You're australian and 19. That means you've already done schoolies. That means the highlight of your life is in the past. You're life is on a steady decline as you go through a chitty australian commuter school then enter the workforce and slave away at a 9 to 5 like a regular useless pleb. But I guess you can keep fuking aussie skanks that have been all used up since the age of 16.
lol at you claiming to have sex with white people like it's a status symbol

Indians and Chinese are incapable. We need not them in USA. No creativity.
here comes in another frauding shtick. I called someone else with the hitler behavior after he made outright racist comments just like you here. Don't pretend you were actually making some constructive criticism of chinese when someone called an inappropriate name you nazi.
You supposedly being with a girl from another race doesn't make you less racist.
I'll buy you a penis pump since you lack the money to get one but you still need a minimum size for it to work and 2mm isn't going to cut it. Ooh you're rustled here.
Nah, not rustled in the least, actually pretty amusing reading here and seeing you pulling hitler and racism cause you cant win an argument and even trying to copy penis size jokes, which is low even for a mindless drone.
do us all a favour and go mining some minerals, you are low on overlords.
brb study so much people kill themselves. No way to live. The ppl here giving them props saying you wish Merica was like that are delusional. You want everyone to be god damn robots only caring about work and school? No socializing, no fun, nothing? Fukk dat. Work and school are important, yeah, but its not all there is to fukking life. I pity the Chinese youth.
Remember that thread a while back with the video of the Chinese kid jumping out of the window at school? He offed himself because of the pressure of their education system. Imagine what he was going through.
Kids kill themselves here becasue their WOW account was deleted and they are cyberbullied (lol just get off social network then).
I'm sure the lives of some of these kids are awful but I can't do anyhting but admire the stress put on hard work and intelligence.

i am chinese and let me tell you, being chinese is actually a great thing. we have beautiful people and we have ugly people. just like any race. I for 1 am a great person, have great friends, and i take care of every one that is in my life and i am glad to do it, and for that i have people that love me around me. also, chinese parents are one of the best parents you can have. sometimes they can be really strict, but they will take care of you no matter what, and they will buy you what ever it is that you need. as long as your not a selfish ****head. Also, we all have great jobs, lots of money and a family that we all love and take care off.
i just wanted to get that off my chest.

I have lived in China since 2001. Have married a local and have a baby with her. I also have an education business here.
I am sorry but the education system here is a joke.
A big part of the reason they spend so much time studying is because their written language is not phonetic, so in order to be able to read stuff they need to memorise as many characters as possible. Their language does not allow for "sounding words out." So yeah, they spend hours and hours memorising Chinese characters.
Chinese socialise among themselves just fine, so I do not believe they are anti-social. I am generalising and this is based on my own experience that when it comes to work....
1. It is a myth that the Chinese have this superhuman work ethic. They do not. They work long hours, but they do not work hard. They waste a huge amount of time browsing internet shopping sites (taobao.com), playing on wechat (Chinese watsapp) and QQ (Chinese Instant Messenger). Lets not even go into the 2 hours 2 and a half hours everyone takes for lunch
2. It's true, they really do not show any initiative or pro-activity in their job. It is very frustrating at times, you have to tell them every single little thing because they can't figure stuff out by themselves. Also, even if you have given them instructions to do something and shown them how to do it, you still need to be micromanaging them otherwise they will just not do it, or do it badly.
3. Most mean well, it's just that they have never been taught to work efficiently. They take twice as long as what a non Chinese would take to do something.
4. It is difficult to enter a Chinese University, but money/status/connections fix this problem. A lot of the time it isn't a merit-based system.
5. The level of plagiarising, cheating, bribing at Chinese Universities makes a Chinese degree worthless.
6. Somebody mentioned itt that there are no vocational colleges in China. Of course there are, there are plenty of them.
My Chinese born partner would also agree with me on these points, so it's not just a gweilo being racist. Until Chinese kids are taught to think critically at school China will struggle to develop innovators and creators.
There are more things I could add but I am tired and I need to take a shower before watching the football tonight.

Not much, I am thinking of going back home and I got an offer of 1.5RMB for my small school/training centre (not that impressive. Around $250K but not too bad considering it hasn't been open long) and I am considering it given I would like to go home to raise my daughter there, but I fear that if I go home I will not be able to find a decent job to support my family. There are things I would like to achieve here just yet though, so yeah...
Another thing I would like to add is that there is more to creativity than just coming up with inventions. For example, you can say music is an area that would foster a people's creativity. You see in the "Western World" all kind of music types. In China, especially southern China, one hears mostly canto-pop. Horrible, unimaginative, romantic crooning.
You can say the same thing about art, architecture (a lot of the cool designs in China have been designed by foreign companies), fashion design, etc.

Depending on your degree you could go into consulting (they are allways seeking for people with lots of abroad experience) but since you allready had your own business why don't you start preping business people going to China. If I remember correctly you are Australian, lots of opportunity there for such a business as relations with China are booming.
Well I guess what you listed are the results of Mao's "cultural revolution" and a history of a tirannic state, what else do you expect besides tayloristic work climate and cultural underdevelopment.

How is this different than what American parents do in terms of sports?
How is this different than what American parents do in terms of sports?
Because there are only a group of kids who are forced by their parents to excel in sports. I've never seen a sports try-out look packed. Probably 100x less people at a try out than an entrance exam in China. Although I can't speak for the south, sports are a bigger deal there.

Look at the population difference though. China has over a billion people so of course its packed. The competition is absurd. If America had over a billion people, it would be very similar.

I've been to China 4 times to study Mandarin. One time, a buddy of mine from home was living with a host family in Beijing while I was there so I met up with him and his host family. The host family was upper class by Chinese standards and the host brother was studying for his gaokao. The family bought an entire apartment (good sized one too) for him to study at (not live in) and it had the bare minimum of everyday comforts. The kid was an academic animal.
This is extremely inspiring. Any of these kids, given the opportunities we have, would succeed a lot more than my lazy ass. Time to step it up.
I think that any Indian kid that graduated from an IIT or IIM, and any Chinese kid that graduated from any of the top Chinese unis (JiaoTong, Tsinghua, Fudan etc) are the smartest kids in the world, at least in terms of raw intelligence, just because of the sheer amount of competition they have to battle through
inb4 stereotypical comments like "oh but they have no social skills! they have small penors!!"
being indian and having family that have went to IIT and are in school in India, i can agree with this 100%. Im much happier though with my awesome social life and female interaction. I have good grades and will be in med school in a year, but If i was in school in India it would be much different because the competition is insane and there are so many kids that just literally study all the time, no exageration. In India, the culture is so different than here. Like most kids only get laid after marriage, and thats normal. And the reason why these kids are so smart is because it is drilled into them from a young age, and having a social life/playing sports etc is not. Just a different lifestyle
-
How is this different than what American parents do in terms of sports?
completely different. If this were paralleled with sports here, then every parents would be watching their kids macros and feeding them exactly what they needed to and training them all the time. Very opposite to how parents here pump their kids full of sugary drinks and fast food, no parallel at all

You sound rustled enough to reply everytime and yup making -ve stereotypes on asians isn't racist according to your definition but were i to do the same you would be screaming racism to the skies. It's understood that you have strong double standards nothing unusual.
Who is copying penis jokes? Just making unverified penis claims isn't penis jokes and you don't own the copyright to make claims.
Go check look up the phrase pot calling the kettle black. They actually have your picture right there.

Not really the same as memorizing english to pass the TOEFL and then struggling because you truly didn't know english. Or memorizing all the equations to pass the physics portion and then not being able to apply it anywhere else. These are not "geniuses".

These, studying 24/7 doesn't give you anything but an ability to memorize. Good luck getting a chinese kid to make conclusions based on analysis of facts in a subject he's never seen before.
and the corruption really doesn't help anything.
This type of education creates drones, which isn't what we need in this world. We need innovators who can solve the (mainly) energy problems of today and the future
