Why is bacon so excited over Brandon Crawford lite?
Blue Jays smoked the Yankees last night, and Red Sox got 5 RBI off 2 HR from Betts last night for the win.
AL East getting crazy...
We gonna act like wed take Mookie Betts over Manny GOATchado? Two young studs nonetheless. Jose Almanlet will obviously capture the AL MVP and Machado, Betts and Donaldson will be right behind.

Mookie Betts is playing better right now...

No trout and altuve are better this year. I don't care if manlet altuve plays 2b he is having one the best offensive seasons for a 2b ever. Maybe if Betts and Machado can get there ops+ up about 10 points they would be in the conversation
Trout and altuve ops+ are nearly 35 points higher than them lol

dafuqqq..how'd I forget about Mikey Fish. I guess im just used to dude destroying the MLB while being on a chit team. Not sure voters will elect him MVP because of how chitty his team is, which isn't fair but the way it works sometimes.
Surprisingly, Donaldson is tied with Altuve in Fangraphs WAR, primarily because of his elite defense.
AL fWAR Leaders
Trout: 6.9
Donaldson: 6.3
Altuve: 6.3
Betts: 6.0

I'm gonna watch every single MLB post you make and make sure you stick to analytics considering you cling to it for this. Quite petty tbh, considering the astros won't make the playoffs in a trash division. Funny TBH
Gonna be taping the game tonight while I hit the gym first. Will be on after to talk all things Swanson. See you guys then!
The Nationals' so-called "ace" gets clobbered again. But apologists for this mediocre team will ignore reality of course.

and Betts is only sniffing them because of his base running. Altuve cant grow another foot, so his UZR and DRS are going to be below average. Offensive value after adjusted, Mookie is at like 20 and the top 3 are around 35 to 40.

This coming from a guy who is a fan of a roster built by Theo Epstein and Ben Cherington. Bro just go shoot yourself.
Cardinals offense is going bonkers with home runs. Almost at 170 now with no dh. This isn't supposed to happen in the nl

You remind me of a Trump supporter that only mentions Hillary, and never Trump.
Swanson with 2 hits. And here we go..

You mean Altuve will win it with Trout, Betts and Donaldson right behind him. Not Machado lol
Solid debut by Swanson. Can't ask for more than he did.
Thought the ball might fall in for his first AB and get the man in from 3rd but it hung up just a bit too long
2nd AB solid hit the opposite way on the second pitch I believe
3rd AB kind of had a strike go against him that was inside that put him 1-2. Chased a bad pitch outside for the K (chased it on strike 1 as well).
Nice liner up the middle to finish it off
Nothing hit to him in the field. Tried to turn a double play on an attempted sac bunt but wasn't quick enough, but made it pretty close. Dropped a ball on decent enough throw from Recker on an SB. Little bit of a short hop, probably should catch it but not a big deal.
Side note, props to Gibson for the complete game.
If Astros make the playoffs Altuve wil win the MVP. He's still going to win it no matter what lol,

Who was Dustin Pedroia tho? Manlet like JA but he's a substantial plus on the defensive side of the ball from 2B unlike JA.
And for Betts, they don't ask how, just how many. Base running, aside from base stealing, is a criminally underrated attribute. Taking that extra base on a single/double is the difference in winning some ball games.

Red Sox sweep Orioles in short 2 game series. Orioles now in 3rd in AL East, and honestly with the lack of starting pitching and inconsistent offense, they might not recover at this juncture.
Mookie updated July & August stats
157 AB
29 R
60 H
16 2B
1 3B
12 HR
35 RBI
12 BB
16 SO
7 SB
2 CS
.382 BA
.426 OBP
.726 SLG
1.152 OPS
Likely going to top his AL Player of the month numbers from July pretty easily in August. Back to back player of the month awards in the second half of the season.

I completely agree and Altuve is absolutely terrible at taking the extra base, when Correa is elite at it. Its a big reason why these NL guys dont realize why Kris Bryants fWAR is so high, hes a very good base runner.
Jose Altuve is 5'5 and Pedroia is 5'9 as is Betts.
The Rangers are on the verge of having the lowest run differential of a division winner in a decade, surpassing the 3rd lowest... the 2015 Rangers.
Cubs pitchers can't throw strikes to save their lives today.
Luckily, Kris Bryant is having one of his full retard games. I've always been more partial to Rizzo, but I think KB is getting that MVP this year boyos.

What did I say that was incorrect?
Jesus man the Braves f*cking blow. What are we gonna do? Are we ever even going to be good again?
Seriously try to stay positive on here and convince myself the team is actually making progress but this team is f*cking garbage through and through. Minors included. All these pitchers and not even one of them remotely worth looking forward to. It really is just Julio Teheran and Freddie Freeman and no one else.
Frank Wren actually had a good team on the field even with a few mistakes to BJ and Uggla. F*ck this sh*t I swear.
Why did we blow up everything for these D grade career minor league pitchers.

Well you guys have a future infield of Swanson, Albies and Freeman, and that Demitre or whatever guy looks really good, so an infield of that is really promising. I keep telling you the Braves aren't doing anything until at least 2018, likely 2019 and later, you guys have 3 top 100 pitchers, all of them should be up by then. Mallex, Inciarte and Swanson should keep it entertaining enough until some of those other guys start coming up
Rebuilding sucks, that's for sure, but it's better than being mediocre for 10 years
Bregman grades as the best defensive 3rd baseman by UZR since his debut... and now hes hittting. Surprisingly AJ Reed is starting to hit as well. Astros need a few veterans this off season. I want a reunion of Jayson Werth and Chase Utley on short contracts.

Come on man, you know those sabermetric stats have no place being used like that over such a small sample size
Splitting the series with the pathetic Angels is like a kick to the nuts at this point
