Even with the drop in calories the scale refuses to budge. Very frustrating but I know it will happen, Stan is going to be sending me an updated plan later today. Since I have the wedding in 12 weeks from Friday we are going to go balls to the wall for the next 12 weeks so I can drop the max weight possible in that time. After that, no matter what my body fat is, we will reverse out of it and help my metabolism recover and go on a very slow bulk, hopefully just maintaining and recomping all the way until my real prep sometime next spring. So I guess you could call this a mock prep. I'm going to go through everything that I would as if my contest was April 29th. Obviously I won't be anywhere near contest ready, but it will be a small test of how I will handle the actual prep next year Yesterday was leg day and it was a pretty good day. Hit a pr on squats even though I failed to get my full 6 reps, I got 5 pretty clean reps out. I also did 30 min stairmaster on the intervals program level 5.

You know that means you have to buy a posing suit and go tanning too, so we can get the real feel going on in here :) Once I get home from work tonight I will shoot you an update. T-12 weeks out! :)

Ya a mock prep is gonna be fun, hopefully I can drop a good amount of weight in these next 12 weeks. As long as we reverse correctly I should see the weight drop for a few weeks after until we find my maintenance again. It's gonna be weird when the scale starts to go up though, I've been focused on it going down for so long that its gonna mess with my brain! I hope your head heals up quick Dean.

I don't think anyone wants to see that!
Also since we will be doing a 12 week prep I figured I might as well enter the bb.com transformation contest. As if I didn't have enough motivation already.
Off day from lifting yesterday but I went straight home, did my HIIT on the treadmill and then off to get a haircut since I'm not shaving my head anymore there's no reason to grow it out. I recieved my update from Stan and we are dropping 200 more calories which will put me at about 2250, hopefully that will get the weight moving in the right direction again or we may start carb cycling already. Cardio stays the same for now since I am already doing 6 days a week only taking off on leg day. I may have to start going to do cardio in the morning so that I can elevate my heart rate twice a day instead of just once like I am now. It's really hard for me to do that though because I leave for work at 3am. To get cardio in I would need to leave no later than 2:15 which puts me going to bed really early. I know Stan would like to see me doing it that way.

Yup and I like the color, not just a straight red, it's got some black in there too, although my girls didn't care for the demon too much lol!

Yeah, the tank top is straight red but they didn't have the same red in the shirts. Happy as well though with the darker color. FYI they are 100% cotton so put in the dryer at your own risk :). My large got quite a bit more snug after drying.
My wife can shrink anything so I'm sure I'm screwed!
Well here are my update/starting point for my 12 weeks til the wedding and the end of my cutting phase for a while. I will be no where near where I want to be but will look better in clothes at least. I need to put on some serious muscle after this cut so I don't looks super skinny come contest time in two years. Beware the moobs!

I wish I knew how to resize there on my phone cause they are gigantic pics, but alas, I do not know how.
Those pictures speak for themselves I think your looking great! That side picture too!
Can't wait to see in 12 weeks
Well done keep it up
I see the exact opposite Dean, all I can see is fat unfortunately. I still see the same guy the was 350+ when I look down. I need to reprogram my brain but its hard, thanks for the compliment though, I'm trying hard!

Sorry to hear that, your progress is going well and being able to see that will be a great mental breaker, seeing how far you have come and how far you are going to get!
You are trying hard everyone following knows that

Happy with the first of many weight drops to come. My scale has been acting funny though so I'm going to buy a new scale today. I'll do a side by side before I throw the old one to see if there is any difference. Didn't feel up to snuff this week but got all my work in and hit my macros to a T so I'm happy with that. Today is back day and I'm going for 3pps for the first time. I'll video it and maybe you'll get to see my horrible form lol. Yesterday was shoulders and a HIIT session.

You said it yourself, reprogramming the mind is the hardest part. You got this.
The effort you are putting forth, if it remains consistent, will yield tremendous results. I have the utmost faith in your ability and desire to change. Just stay on the path and don't believe the lies your mind will tell you. Stay positive, stay motivated, and stay on the path. Go get em kid.
315x6 I actually feel like I lifted a real amount of weight now.

Nice weight on those deads, well done for keeping at the reps when it was getting hard
I'm not expert
Maybe try and pull the weight from the start, with drive from your legs as they are nearly straighted when the weight comes off the floor
Hopefully giving less strain on your back
Hope that made sense and was a tiny bit of help
Great work!

I need to work on that I know! I try to focus on that but when the weight gets heavier that happens a little bit.
Nice job on the deads dude! That's a good amount of weight.
Yesterday's back workout went quite well, upped the weight on almost everything. The calorie drop has not affected me at all which is great. I'm really looking forward to these next 12 weeks as I think there will be a lot of changes in my physique. Not anywhere near where I want to be but a lot better. I'm going to put up a video log better introducing myself for those who are late to the party, I think it's easier to watch a quick video than read a wall of text. I have no editing software since I do everything from my phone so it won't be very interesting. Anyway here's the workout from yesterday.

I know what you mean but the opposite. When I was younger I was the "skinny fat" type...aka skinny kid with no abs lol. It is really hard to reprogram your brain into thinking different about yourself. I still see myself as skinny some days, but for most part it has gotten better. I think it will just take some time, and also hearing compliments helps a lot too.
You should get before and after pictures and place them side by side, then you will SEE the difference and you will have no choice but to just accept it!
Good luck with your 12 weeks before the wedding! You will do great!

This will always be a challenge and it is for most. Even 4 weeks out from my show back in June where I ended up winning my pro-card, I'd look in the mirror and think how I didn't look lean enough and looked so small. You put these images in your head all the time about looking a certain way and after awhile you just believe it without giving a second though to what the mirror is showing. I am still trying to get over the mental beating I would constantly give myself about being too small, but from time to time I'll look back at my pics from 2007 when I started and look now and I KNOW that I have made huge strides. The same will be for you too. Don't beat yourself down and take it one day at a time. It takes years to build a physique you can be proud of and you are well on your way!
Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it. I'm trying to remind myself that it takes a long time and most everyone on this forum has years and years of training in. I have just begun and it will take years to get to where I need to be. I just started back with weights and the beginning of October and it was probably 3 years since I had touched a weight. Even before that I don't think that I have consistently trained for more than 6 months straight and part of the reason I didn't is because patience is not my greatest virtue. I'm getting better at it but I still have a long ways to go. One day at a time though.

This. I looked back at my prep pictures and they looked 10x better then I thought at the time. You are doing awesome man, a huge motivation to a lot of people.
Took yesterday completely off, not even any cardio. Probably shouldn't have because now ill have to do cardio on my leg day but it was nice to just sit around all day, I rarely get to do that. Originally we were supposed to go get the kids pictures taken with my wife's sisters kids and then go to the last Christmas party of the year but both were cancelled. We ended up watching all 3 Lord of the Rings movies. I forgot my gym shorts when I left today so I may just go buy a pair after work, it's not worth the 35 minute drive home to go get them.
Monday was chest day, my least favorite day of the week.
Bb bench press
140x10x3
Superset with flat db flyes
25x10x3
Db incline press
40x10x3
Superset with incline db flyes
25x10x3
Assisted dips
-80x8x3
Machine press dropset to 40 reps x2
Not a bad workout for me, but I just feel like such a wuss on chest day, everything else I feel like I can hold my own but my chest is weak. It's gonna need years of work to bring it up to where it needs to be. Finished off the workout with 30 minutes on the elliptical interval program level 13.
