I'm 5'7" at around 145lbs with small bone structure. BF% is around 13-15%. I want to get more cut to get 6 packs but people say I look skinny and need to bulk up. Any suggestions? Thanks!

at anywhere over 170 if you keep your bodyfat decent you'll look pretty jacked
I'd love to 175lbs with ~10% bf so I agree what everybody is saying
Wow, looks like I need to gain 20-30 pounds of muscle. How hard is it to gain 1lb of solid muscle per week? I've heard anything more than that will turn into fat.
if your 5'7 you shouldnt be over 165 you will look retarted I think its the funniest thing when I see short dudes with arms bigger than there body

what
165-175 i'd say with bf low enough to see abs fully...
you can look built perhaps even at a lighter weight, it's all about how you dress though... but you won't have 'presense'
I'm 5'7" and weigh 166 (160 in my profile pic). I get told all the time I look like 180 though, in real life that is.
I'm 5'7" and usually stay around 160-165 or so. Rarely go over 170. I don't look skinny IMO but I'm not huge either :(

Your a freak though my friend! Your back is one of the best pound for pound in this section.:) And a wide back adds illusionary lbs to one's appearance.

Oh stop... flattery will get you everywhere :D
I do get obsessed with my back. I've been more obsessed with medial delts lately as that combined with a v-taper just makes the "bodybuilder" look... whatever that is :p

Another man obsessed with back and shoulder width. My long lost ivory brother.:D If only more people understood the drastic changes in your overall physique that increased back and shoulder width can bring. I tried to do it through simply bulking up back in the day but I hit the ceiling when I could bulk no more than 240lbs. But doing various hammer chin/chin/pullup variations along with bulking the hell out of my medial delts gave me the drastic changes in my overall appearance that simply gaining weight and going heavy on everything failed to do.

I agree: Overload has always looked bigger than his actual weight.
I am also 5 foot 7 and a half inches tall, and traditionally, I have looked what I consider my best, at about 182.....so it is different for everybody....
I competed many moons ago in a contest where I was under that weight, and although I was certainly more cut than ever,I thought I looked like crapola.
no offense to the fine guys on this forum who compete in the Natural bodybuilding contests and I may join them someday in the mens masters, but, most of the contestants look like Biafran refugees!!!
it is not an automatic that everyone looks "good" at a very low bodyfat percentage: yes, they may look "stage ready", but Good???
that is open to argument and varies from person to person....
I'm obsessed with getting a wide look, too. Too bad my newb gains have stopped and progress is slowing down :(

Welcome to Bodybuilding.com pal.
300 lbs.
All I know is people need to stop asking me... "You wrestle?".

Hey man, I'm 5'9 and I hover around 170 pounds. People can definitely tell I work out - but my physique isn't what I want it to be. I'd like to be more muscular and leaner (a common goal!) and I have to achieve this by keeping with my workout routine and cutting down my BODYFAT.
In otherwords, if I could start anew, I would be much more careful with my diet to avoid adding those extra midsection pounds. So I would say go with a slow, clean bulk - once you are up to 170 you will have a damn great physique!!
