Dislocated my shoulder recently, first time that it has ever happened, and was shortly popped back in. Turns out i have some stretched ligaments in my shoulder now. How long should i wait until i start working out again? Still kinda sore, even push ups are kinda uncomfortable. Should i work out lightly or just wait it out?

Try deep tissue massage. More importantly research 'trigger point therapy'. I recently had a bad rotor cuff strain, couldn't even lift my left arm up. Felt it let go at the gym and was in severe pain.
With the deep tissue massage directed at the trigger points in the muscle has helped so much.
