Sometime's your pet is the most uplifting thing out thar
I love my dog more than some people.
my rottie is gonna be 10 years old in march :(
my dog passed away last night at the vet... im finding it tough at the moment!
we have one of her puppys though so in a way we still have a bit of her left!
i want a pet :(
My boxer lived to 13, really long for a boxer but we had to put him down because he developed uncontrollable seizures overnight due a tumor :( .
I'm stressed that every time I leave for school, it'll be the last time I see one of my cats, who we've had since I was was 11! She and her sister were out moving in presents for the house I grew up in and we just moved from, so its setting in how old they actually are.
my 16 year old teacup poodle died 2 days ago, and honestly I was really upset. I didnt think I would be since we knew it was coming, but its still kinda hard since I cant remember life without her.

brah i cried uncontrollably last night when i found out the news..
I had a boxer shepard mix that died from lung cancer back in september. She was only about 6 or 7 years old and holy sh*t was that hard. It happened so suddenly.
The doctor said we wouldn't normally see the symptoms of something like that until its to late because it's a natural survival instinct for animals to hide their weakness/ailments.
After you have and awesome pet like that, companion is the only term you should use to describe them.
yea..
my pacu died after 4 years
this thread makes me sad... :( i can't even imagine what it's gonna be like when my two dogs die. i try not to think about it though and just make the most it while they are here.

if anything its good to know that you loved and cared for your pets so there are no regrets when they finally go. you can be comforted in the fact that they had a good life and you cared for them the best you could. and your pets know that too and sometimes it really shows
:(:(:(
this is why i hate owning pets

I don't think non-pet owners realise that an animal isn't simply a pet... it IS part of the family. The worst thing I have ever had to do in my life is carry my dead cat home in a bag after he got hit and killed by a car. I cried for ****ing days and want to cry just typing this almost 3 years later :(
losing my goldfish last spring was rough....

its so true. non-pet owners cannot even begin to understand what its like. my best friend is like that. He'll express sympathy, but I know he's just like "whatever". His family owns a carpet cleaning business and I think that's why he will never have pets. His loss though
unconditional love ftw
my intention was not to make you all sad..
just appreciate your pets and give them as much love as possible!

Yeah, a dog or cat will just become one of the family without you even noticing. Although both animals have a totally different way of bonding with you, they are always there when you need them. They don't give advice, they don't judge you, they don't compare situations... they are just there for you :o

exactly. i would be more upset if my dogs died rather than a friend. as mean as that sounds it's true. i remember a few years back i was coming down the road by my house and i saw one of our cats laying dead on the road. i wasn't particularly close to this cat but i still cried and got her off the road asap and gave her a proper burial.
last time i cried was two years ago when my cat died :( I'm not very sensitive but damn loseing pet hurts so much.

i love my dog more than most people
i've only had my dog for a year but i got him when he was a puppy so i'm so fricken protective over him. i always have such disgusting thoughts that something will happen to him. whenever i let him out in the backyard i always check the back gates to make sure they are closed. sometimes when he's sleeping i'll get paranoid because i don't see him move/breath and i think he's dead and then i have to go and wake him up to make sure. i'm weird. :(
very sorry to hear bro.... r.i.p!
my jessie is getting on.... 15 years old border collie... when your younger i think it would be asier to deal with.
