Squats. Although I think the squats give the illusion of a bigger butt. If you don't have the genetics for a big butt, it's not going to happen. The basics in a butt, is fat. That's why if you're a big booty girl and you loose a lot of weight, some of that booty goes too =(

well up until a week ago i never did squats in my routine, only deads and leg extensions... the day after my ass was sore as hell (no homo) so obviously even though deads hit your leg pretty well, the squats really hit that special place that deadlifts can miss...

bridges are a warm up technique for teaching those with faulty motor patterns to "fire" their glutes. they will not put on muscle.
and im not even going to try to understand what a leg extension while laying on your stomach is. but no.

When you get to deloading, you can lay off the squats and just ride someone's schlong. Remember to get a full range of motion(low ball him).

The at home part can make this a little tricky.
Squats are great, but unless you have a pretty good setup at home with a nice squat rack, your going to have trouble doing traditional squats.
Your probably going to have to substitute a dumbbell squat

The glutes consist of three parts, [list]

Gluteus medius [url]http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/GluteusMedius.html[/url]
Gluteus minimus [url]http://www.exrx.net/Muscles/GluteusMinimus.html[/url][/list]
The squat really hits the Gluteus Maximus the most, but for your purposes, I think you want to expand the training to hit all three parts. Again, tough at home.
You can try this exercise lying on your side with ankle weights.

Actually, I try to do that for all my responses that deal with Kinesiology.
However, most men on BB.com think they are already experts and don't ask such questions.
Girlfriend's been working at getting her's more round (although it's her body's fave fat-storage area)
ATG squats
Lunges
Romanian deadlifts
Remember, the best part of a nice ass are the lean thighs coming up to it... nothing more gross than fat thighs leading to the ass :eek:

I had my GF try stationary lunges on the smith machine, just stepping back and lunging.... she said it worked her butt more than squats do..
I can inject some protein directly into your butt. It builds muscle.
