at about 1:40?
That looks very strange and you might as well just use a heavy bag/container of sand/concrete/etc. or anything heavy to curl instead of doing.... whatever he's attempting. That's just silly.

Yea I know it looks silly but its one of the few exercises I was able to find for biceps which requires absolutely no equipment. It looks like it works your bicep just like it would in a bicep curl, especially if you pull your leg to the starting position for more resistance and do low reps (like he mentioned). I know I shud get weights and do chin ups etc but if I wanna do something which requires absolutely no equipment, this isn't bad right? I do feel quite a burn after doing it just like you do after bicep curls.

Well, as long as you feel you're working the muscle sufficiently and if it's temporary.
Prison workout
Yea, interesting exercise eh
It is cool how you can add more tension with your leg. Works in a pinch if you just HAD to do some curlz.
that guy def didnt get those biceps by curling his leg lol
This is a REAL prison bicep workout:

He's definitely on dat dere celltech. But, he was in prison and this is how he worked out when the prison removed the weights.

Interested in more thoughts on this exercise
I think I would slip a disc in my back if I tried that. Better bodyweight move for bis is chin ups with a closer grip

I think it is the most stupid exercise I've ever seen. Why would you pull your leg in that completely unnatural direction? The reason barbells, weight plates, dumbbells, exercise machines, etc. where invented was to create an efficient way of stimulating muscles. Pulling your ankle to your ear isn't one of those ways. It looks dangerous and I doubt you would get any serious muscle growth from it.
Just get a pullups bar... too gimmicky and too hard to track progress. The door frame was best. But its far too easy for a regular training tool.
bump... (don't mean to be annoying, just interested in more thoughts on this exercise as it is quite unique and I can't just google it for information)
Bump......
And how do you expect to progressively overload with that?

Increase resistance by pushing leg down with increasing force..

I'd be more worried about screwing up my knee or hip lol
So not comfortable.
interesting exercise, but if you have access to dumbbells, barbells and chin up bar, then you are good to go. I wouldn't waste my time on exercise like that, but if you don't have access to weight lifting equipment, that's a pretty good option.

Yea I don't have equipment and I really needed a biceps exercise and this was a life saver
Bump....
awesome!!
Yea pretty amazing to find this exercise if you don't have equipment.... Of course credit to the guy in the video as this is like the only video on the internet showing this exercise???
That's because the "exercise" is ridiculous and nobody worth their salt would put their name on it. It seems like you really don't care what peoples opinion is unless they say it's a good idea. If you are set on doing it regardless of the advice, do it. Why ask in the first place, and why keep bumping this topic?
Tell you what. Why don't you take a before pic now and post it. Come back after 6 months of doing this exercise and post an after photo.

Yea I do want positive feedback on it but even if you say it's bad it's still better than doing nothing right??? Or do you think there is a high risk of injury.. I know I'm a bit biased but this is the only biceps equipment free exercise I found and really wanted to convince myself that it's worth my time...

You're right it does fuk my back and knees... What do you think about the other 2 exercises in the video??? Or maybe static holds with a towel or smth
I thought the only way to do biceps was bicep curls or chin ups. hahaha.
