Yeah. Keep in mind that bullets are lead. And most houses are rated for 30-40lbs per square foot upstairs.
I was considering putting an ammo safe upstairs. Estimated weight of the safe plus ammo would have been 1100lbs sitting on approximately 4 square feet of floor. I ran it by a friend who is a structural engineer. He told me I was an insane person. He said that if I placed it perfectly along an exterior wall that I might avoid anything catastrophic, but that it would 1000% cause sagging of the structure over time.
Just fkn lol @ needing a ton of bullets to keel yo enemy.
Be an ammo maker, not an ammo hoarder. That way you make your own whenever the need arises.
Been reloading for years brah.
If SHTF, I really don't want to have to hope I've got power and time to go crank out the brass tumbler and Dillon press. lol
Ammo for what reason?
start building an underground bunker, srs. It's going that way, anyway, get a head start.

You live in Texas, which means that you don't have a basement and have a garage. Place it in your garage. There's no tactically edge of having a safe designated for just ammo in your living space, the garage would be fine. Are you paranoid or just have a hoarding problem? Also get a bunch of silica packs and those air humidify absorber things off amazon. (Super Ded fkn Srs)
Try your anoose.
Move back to california for lower humidity and store it in a garage there

If he gets a 5150 all of his guns and ammo would be taken away and he won't be able to get one for 5 years :)

this, buy some land. build a superior underground bunker for 4 adults.

What a stupid question.
BRB "why do you have food in your pantry?"
BRB "why do you have cars in your garage"
BRB "why do you have weights in your home gym?"
And OP, why not basement with cement floors that can handle a chitload of weight. Just buy a dehumidifier piped to drain.
