My girlfriend is going to buy me a DVD for Christmas, the only bb'ing DVD I have is pumping iron. Should I get Ronnie Unbelievable? Or Dorian Blood and Guts?
My bad if this is in the wrong section...
Thanks

Either one. They're different though. Blood and Guts is black and white and it's just pure training. Dorian and his workout partner in the gym and it's just them working out. No nonsense type stuff, not even music if I remember correctly, just pure gettin to work.
Unbelievable IMO is better, A Week In The Dungeon is amazing too. Blood And Guts gets my third fav, behind those too, as it is also phenomenal.

Out of those two... Blood and Guts.
If you have options... Milos Sarcev's Secrets of the Pros. <<--- This is one awesome collection. Tonnes to learn there.
I havnt seen dorians, but I probably enjoy Jays videos more than ronnies, despite his lifts being less impressive, he does present very good form and made me think differently about working out. I think Jay explains things better and shows the life of bodybuilding a lot more than ronnie, my favourite was his latest, being from Jay to Z I think. Either way you wont be disappointed, Ronnies videos are great. Especially if you've only seen Pumping Iron, which was more a drama film than anything.
Just download them both and be done with it.
Jay's dvds put me to sleep. If you like watching a business man with not much to say do his errands then go right ahead.
My favorite so far has been Dexter Jackson The Blade 2k7/2k. Dex shows a lot personality and it has cameos by Flex, Branch, Marcus Haley, Curlytop, and some others. Very funny.
Get a Battle of the Olympia as you get to see more of the top guys and how different ppl go about their training.
theres very little in life more boring than a jay dvd, i have two of his, A cut above and ripped to shreds
hes an amazing bb'er, but his training is not incredible to watch like ronnie and dorians
Pick 'one step closer'. For me, it's the best. Actually I watch it very often to fire up my workout.
get branch warren unchained raw reality imo he has the best training intensity and attiude in the gym. another good one is milos secrets of the pros it really explains why and how to do exercises. bfto are good as well for variety
I myself liked JtoZ, as well as Phil Heaths DVD. I've only watche the BFTO's on youtube, but like em. Going off whats available on youtube of Ronnies, he obviously the best entertainment with his scream, yelling, and seizures. lol
i dont know if i could watch 2 hours of it though
I like jays "Ripped to Shreds" and "A Cut Above" a lot
I say Rocky 4 :) but seriously i wouldnt spend my time buying these cd's. Secret word = torrentz.

torrents dont support the athletes that make the videos.
im all about torrenting hollywood, but without our support, bodybuilding is NOTHING

I do. Jay's got some nice tips in his DVDs but he's done so many that there's not as much to say by now, lol. He gets in there and does his thing. I also liked where did some question/answer stuff with fans in the DVD.

x2, one of my favorites along with Phil Heath's "The Gift" DVD.
"Unbelievable" is the best for entertainment. Ronnie's workouts in that video are truly incredible and he's in fantastic shape.
Dugdale's DVDs are the most professionally done. "Driven" and "A Week in the Dungeon" are much different than most of the videos. They are more like a documentary and tell a story.
Dexter's latest DVD was very long and repetitive. He's shown cooking the same meals and make protein shakes every day for about a week. One day would be okay, but making and eating 6 meals and shakes for a week is not good editing and directing. I actually enjoyed the Y2K extra segment from 8 years ago more than current stuff.
"One Step Closer" and "New Improved and Beyond" are good for seeing the daily bodybuilding lifestyle. Cutler explains his training and diet philosophies. He's not really animated, but he does TALK on his DVDs unlike some of the others out there.
Thanks alot guys.
I am a big phil heath fan, so maybe the gift - but I think I am gonna ask for Unbelievable.
