Thanks for doing this thread, i thought about it but all i read about here, is baseball is boring bla, bla, bla.
We lost to the Yankees today which was about what i expected against Garret Cole.
Judge smashing a HR first up was a pretty sick moment
I have high hopes for James Outman and Miguel Vargas for the Dodgers.
Some young bucks will hopefully make me forget about Bellinger/Seager days.
Also I hate what the Dodgers did to Trevor Bauer. We'd be so much better with him.
The new daily recaps are nice, lots of details.

Don't know much about Outman, other than he's off to a good start.
Vargas is supposed to be a stud. Interesting move to 2B. Hopefully his thumb is ok after getting hit the other day.
It seemed like Bellinger was going to be a superstar. What happened? Maybe the change of scenery will be good.
Mets already doing Mets things...

Bellingers rookie season was so fun to watch. I was balls deep on that train.
But pretty much his shoulder injury/dislocation celebrating a home run and hairline fracture of his fibula and the rest is history.
Injuries affected his mechanics. Never recovered. Dodgers gave him so much time find it again and never did.
Braves hot AF without their starting rotation
going at least 144-18
give or take 1/2
Braves will not be denied! Walk-off in the home opener!
Rays GOATing right now
Whats with the empty stadiums? Just watched a couple of recaps and was surprised to see many of empty seats for example in Minnesotta, Pittsburgh, Cleveland...
Any ideas?

Kids are still in school and there's been a lot of day games.
Prices for food aren't helping the cause either.

They instituted a required mlb app for many stadium purchases and a lot of old grandpas are not very tech savy.
If we didn't have it setup on our phones last year, i am not sure that family members would have gone through the hassle of going to a game.
It is a real pain in the ass for data tracking.
Rays need one more win to equal the longest opening season streak. Tough series against Blue Jays coming up though

numerous reasons
there are a ton of games in a season + time of day games where some games take place where majority of the people are at work and kids are at school.

Isn’t baseball a summer game? Probably doesn’t kick into gear until nba and nhl are finished

Funny. All for the greater good I guess.

A's are terrible. It's been fun watching the Mets beat up on them tonight.
Their crew of fans out in right field who dress up and bring their drums are the best in baseball.

watched the mlb channel and who walks 5 guys in 1 inning only to have a grand slam put up, pathetic.
Orioles will be a fun team to watch this season. Probably won't make the playoffs, but they'll cause problems for the rest of the AL East.

Yup, i went to the game Tuesday and they have a nice lineup.

Wow, have they finally turned the corner? Lots of good young talent, a stud in Adley, and a stocked minor league system. They've won 5 in a row and I'd bet they make the playoffs this year.
Mike Elias is a freaking genius. One of, if not the, architect of the Astros and now he's turned a horrible O's roster into a good one with really good potential, and decimated farm system into the league's best. Dude's only 40 years old too, damn.

Future looks bright.
I'll root for any team that makes Yankee fans miserable, unless Yankee wins help the Mets.
So we're about a month in, Orioles, Pirates, and Cubbies are the surprise teams. You can throw in the D-Backs if you want. Tampa gonna Tampa. How long the Braves gonna brave before they have to change their name? Mets will be lucky to get a wild card.

The Pirates are the biggest surprise here, what the hell?

Absolutely

The Braves already came out after winning the World Series when people were attacking their name (which ironically peaks during success) and said the name is not offensive and they will not be changing it.
MLB has also backed this decision
The organization has previously stated they will not be changing their name. They said they came to that decision after speaking with fans and the Native American community.

Manfred said ahead of Game 1 of the World Series between the Braves and Houston Astros, “Not all are the same. The Braves have done a phenomenal job with the Native American community. The Native American community in that region is fully supportive of the Braves’ program, including the chop.
“For me, that’s kind of the end of the story.’’
lol the AL East looking like the NCAAF SEC.
Every team above .500
4 of 5 teams with 20 wins or more. No other division has more than one. Last year it was New York with the stupid record for half the year, until they fell apart (lol)
For now, Tampa Bay is raping everyone.
Atl just took 2 of 3 from Baltimore to firmly claim 2nd best record in Baseball.

Dang, this is hard to watch now, the Cards are fighting for the worst record in MLB. Can't imagine coming back again at 41 for this.
The Orioles, really, Dam!
The Orioles, really, Dam!
2/3 from Tampa pretty good. 1/3 from Atlanta didn't help me.
