Good basis just keep hitting it, I have a tough time with my chest too. Found that the machines REALLY help to isolate the pecs after I do the free weight movements. Ive started seeing a big improvment doing low reps with a 2 second pause at the bottom. This work wonders for stimulating the deep muscle fibers and good stretch of the pec. Try it out! It will make you super sore.
