I could be wrong (and if so, I'm sure somebody out there will tell me), but that looks like AT LEAST an 835 lb bar--Johnnie Jackson is strong no doubt, but wouldn't an 835 lb squat be some kind of world record?

Yeah, I agree, it's just for the photo; he's standing in front of the rack, not inside it & his face looks determined but not as if under the strain of 830+ lbs!
I've seen him pictured in the mags doing weighed dips with 4 45lb-ers hanging from his dipbelt, so I don't doubt he's strong, but he's not that tall--maybe 5'8" - 5'9" at most, as I recall his stats--I'll bet the Metrx world's strongest competitors were taller & heavier who were knocking off 900 lb squats for reps!

Ooops--I take it all back! I just did a brief Google search on record holding squats & it appears that Dr. Fred Hatfield has a 1014 lb squat record & many other guys have record squats in the 800+ range, some at weight classes as low as 165 lbs!!!
So even though Johnnie's photo was clearly staged, he could nonetheless be capable of a 835lb-range squat!

Go to musclemayhem.com, then go to the picture gallery. On page 3 there are a couple of cool strongman videos. One of them is a world record 1003lb squat (the record at the time).

i saw all the record videos, bench press, squat, and deadlift, that's impressive.
But remember Ronnie isn't a powerlifter.

Awesome lookin stuff, Johnnie is gonna be an awesome pro, and for whoever said Ronnie does reps with 800, Ronnie snaps off 855 for around 8 reps man.
