SHUGYO

SHUGYO is a ritual observed in some way in every warior culture in the world. The rituals differ from culture to culture but the esential soul remains the same. The warior drives themself, or is driven, to a level of pain and/or indurance beyond what he/she previously thought was possible or for that matter sane. The experience should both grueling and scary but the person should emerge feeling purified. The samari called this sever training Shugyo. The native americans had a similar goal in mind with the sun dance. Both take you to a place you are not shore you want to go but are proud of after haveing survived!!
