Actually, there are ALOT of really good glamour photographers in Texas but the only photographer I know off the top of my head is Brent Allen in Houston. He shoots Jamie Eason alot

Yes, MM can lead you to some really shady individuals though. I am currently dealing with a hacker/webstalker who I met on MM. I even checked his references. Apparently, he has the "references" covered. Bastard hacked into my computer, threatened to post alot of shady photos (mis-clicks) from our shoot, took over my MM page AND myspace, and used them to hack other model's computers ! ! !

As a matter of fact his name is Alex Salahi out of Austin Texas. ! I know you're from the area so be careful if you run into him. He's into fitness girls.

oh my gosh! that's awful! I've checked out MM and have found a few leads, but I'll definitely be more careful now. I've seen a lot of lingo on MM that I'm not familiar with.. like TFP, etc ??

Yeah you definatly need to be careful. Only work with photographers with whom you have met in person previously and seem professional. Just use your best judgement, and you can never be too safe. TFP or TFCD etc means Trade For..... you get rights to the pics for your potfolio and so does the photograper with out them paying you or you paying them.

The great thing about trades (TFP & TFCD) is that they are perfect for if you are starting out and need something for your port. The unfortunate part is that you are left with the inexperienced new photographers or lower quality photographers. The exceptional or well established photographers usually don't offer trades. But there are alway exceptions... like good photographers who want to submit to magazines, or who need a new or particular look to their port. Or who just need to refresh their ports. Or you'll run into one who just loves loves loves your look... then you're lucky ! ! !

But do your research on these tfp/tfcd type photographers. These are the ones you have to worry about because some of them are what we call GWCs (guys with cameras)> they are wanna-be photographers who go out and buy a cheap, used camera with the sole intent of meeting beautiful women and getting them on dates or into bed.

Now do keep in mind that 9 out of 10 photographers are men, and are attracted to women. So it's not uncommon for one to hit on you or flirt with you... afterall, they're still males. I do know of one exceptional photographer who semi-stalked this one model I set up with him (eventually found out she's a wanna-be model who just wants pics so she can boast she's a model and act like a diva-bi*ch) It's when they get too close for comfort, step past obvious boundaries, pressure you to take off your clothes, etc.

One way to avoid such a GWC is to ask if its ok you bring an escort or your own models release. Be skeptical of the ones who say no.

SPeaking of models releases on TFPs..... READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU SIGN. A typical and legit Models Release will allow you to use your photos for your port and self promotion. And if you do really sexy photos.... really read what is in the release. Some photogrphers will sell your photos to stock photography websites or other companies. So you never know where those photos end up. I know a girl who posed sexy in really skimpy outfits and they ended up on a escort service's promo card in Las Vegas ! ! ! One girl was even on a truck driven mobile billboard sign .... and it still roams Las Vegas Blvd to this very day !
