I have read many article, mags, opinions about the proper rest time between races and i still dont know. For a sprint distance i have heard a minimum of 3-4 days off with no activity, yet after the race (the next few days) i dont feel sore or even drained really. I understand the importance of rest and recovery periods as they pertain to strength training and cardiovascular, but after a race i dont feel as tired as after a training run/bike/swim. Is it necessary to rest if your body doesnt feel its needed? I would like to here any and all opinions on this matter.
