I know a lot of you out there are addicted to carbs.. me too. It's a real pain when you have to go to someones house and they've cooked an amazing pasta dish that you have to turn down... sad sad sad. Or say, when you're walking through the grocery store and you spot a pie or some fresh baked bread. That just makes my stomach growl thinking about it.
I wanted to give you a little advice on how to control those carb cravings.
1. Always eat your protein first. If your meal has chicken, broccoli, and brown rice in it.. then eat it in that order. That way you won't feel like filling up on the carbs since you've filled your stomach with the good stuff first.
2. Try splenda or stevia instead of sugar. It doesn't taste exactly the same, but it helps with the sugar cravings.. Sugar Free Jello is a blessing too!
3. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS!! This is very important. I tell everyone that you need to be posting photos and measurements at least twice a month to see how the diet is working with your body. When you look back on the photos from a couple weeks ago you'll probably get that extra boost of motivation you need to stick with your diet.
4. Try to not put yourself in situations where you'll be surrounded by carbs and without any good food. Keep your lunch box handy! It may save you from going on an all out binge.
Any other tips?? Go ahead and post them here! :)
