Anyone else feel at odds with this? Personally, it's been quite challenging at times when I meet people and they assume some things about me based on the way I look. Often, it comes as quite a shock that I'm a gamer or play World of Warcraft as well as an Engineer.

Just curious how others are recieved and how you deal with it.

I agree with that. People unfortunately have the stigma that the people that play video games or are into technology have to look like big dorks with negative muscle mass and have reflective skin. Hopefully there are more people out there that want to be geeks with physique.

My problem is the other way around, I look like a geek when people see me with a shirt on and everyone assumes I am 140lbs (which is what I started at) and don't go to the gym. I Look like one of the guys who play's WoW (which I did since the day it came out lulz 295 days played on 1 char)

It's always fun going to the gym with a shirt/beater on under and once I take my shirt off so I just have a beater on I get a lot of stares and "wtf" looks
