Will dips help with pull-ups?

I'm on the verge of being able to do some dips, yet I cannot do a single pull-up at the moment. So, will being able to do dips help me to do pull-ups in the future? In terms of pull-ups, all I can do is dead-weight hangs for now. Hence, I'm trying to find other exercises that will help me do...

Should I front squat to fix forward lean on my back squat?

I've taken a few videos of myself back squatting and I noticed that I lean slightly forward on the accession causing the lift to use a lot more back than quads. I am thinking I could possibly change my second leg day (I am on a PPL) to incorporate front squats in order to fix my issue of forward...

Squat form check

Hi there. I have been squatting for about 8 weeks now doing the stronglifts program. When I started, I would fall over, the bar path was way in front of my foot, just a mess. I have been improving, but I still cant seem to get the bar path over center foot. I also notice my heel lift on...

Question Best exercises for bicep STRENGTH?

So, after having done DB curls for quite a while now I'm happy with their size, however, im nowhere as strong as i wanna be. i work part time as a mover, so bicep strength is very important to me. I want an exercise that gives me STRONG biceps, not big ones. How many reps and sets?

How many reps on unilateral exercises

Recently started a workout program that says 12 reps on a couple of uni lateral exercises. For example, barbell lunges. Could someone tell me if that means 12 reps in each leg or is it 6 reps? And does the same apply to kettle bell deadlifts? Thanks a bunch.

Bar rolling forward on low bar squat

Lately I haven't been able to keep the bar from moving forward on low bar squat. Usually this happens only after the 2nd or 3rd rep of my working set so maybe it's due to me losing back tightness or maybe it's because I keep my elbows pretty high, don't really feel the bar secure if I try to pull...

Chest dip range of motion

So I was doing weighted chest dips today. I added 65lbs and did 5x5. Last week I did 55lbs so 65 was slightly too much for me although I did give it max effort. I thought my form was good. My chest was on fire. I leaned forward a little and went down until arms barely broke 90 degrees and I had...

Thumbs up What was the biggest mistake you made as a beginner?

One Of the biggest mistakes as many others would also agree was skipping leg day. However, my biggest mistake was using wrong form on the deadlift. My lower back was sore and swollen for a week and I stopped doing deadlifts for 2 years. Fast forward up to know, my 1rm is 405. Let me know your...

Came up with a movement (I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it). It combines a bent arm pullover with a tricep extension. Execute eccentric portion of the bent arm pullover. When you get to the bottom hold it there and perform a tricep extension. Then bring the weight back while your arms are...
