Bad lifting session help

Cardio on off days.

I'm doing Fierce 5 upper/lower routine right now, 4 days a week. On my off days instead of jogging would it be ok to do some HIIT workouts involving some light dumbbells/kettlebells or bodyweight exercises? Or is that too much strain on your muscles to allow proper recovery? Thanks.
