Assisted Dips work only right pec?

I have 2 chairs and a stool so Im doing assisted dips (with a 25 lb backpack, my wrists are too weak to do normal) but it only seems to work the right pec (im right handed). I picked one leg up and that seemed to help, until the next set when it was back to one sided. Please help. Thanks.
