One pleasure about garage gyms is planning, saving, evaluating next steps, budgeting and often building or fabricating equipment that is often better.
One example are three identical dumbbell racks for my heavy dumbbells, pairs 80#, 85#, 90#, 95# and 100#. They are virtually indestructible.
I learned skills.
Itâs the joy of building, not only my body but the gym. None of this would occur with a commercial gym membership. There is power in having âskin-in-the-gameâ. The feeling is inexplicable and wonderfully real. What happens to all this upon my demise? Goes to drug rehab organization with codicils that all the flags and banners displayed and hung as I have them.

Here is a fun fact, the chemical and fuels logistics company (American PetroLog LLC) we sold two years ago (2022) to Kenan was one of Brandonâs sponsers year 2021. We had customer outings at several tracks where and when he was running. It was my turn hosting when he ran at the Texas Motor Speedway. Always the seats in the pit. âGo Brandon!â

1. Standing lite bar Smith Machine shoulder presses, 4x12, supersetting with -
2. Plate side raises then bringing them together in front back to my side. When my arms extended last set, hold for 13 seconds. 4x12.
3. Biceps db alternating incline bench curls 4x12.
4. Biceps Scott bench preachers curls, 4x12
5. Triceps flat bench over the head DB extensions, 4x12.
6. Triceps push-ups hand diamond position, 30-30-30-10.
7. Closer: Leg press, 2x10x1057# (not a typo).
