Sticky Thread Sticky: Daily Workout - Challenges and Victories

In light of the extreme focus this board has in regards to the 'body beautiful' (and the frustration that results in people not 'getting results fast enough'), I thought I would create a sticky that changed the focus a little.... This is a thread for posters to use to recognise 'every day'...

Found this article posted on facebook today. Basically advocates doing cardio first for greater muscular gains. Thoughts in the article? Bogus, or worth a shot?

let's talk about rack pulls!

Ok, I'm new to rack pulls. Have read for years about them helping with overall back thickness, along with mid/upper traps. I hadn't incorporated them because I was making good progress with all the other back stuff I was doing, but am ready to give them a go. I've watched some videos, from...

Can't do glute-ham raise

So I thought I'd try a glute-ham raise...and I can't even do one. I assume it means I have weak glutes. Is there some way I can build up so I can be able to do glute-ham raises?

Need some help with deadlifts

I have just started doing conventional deadlifts after doing RDL's for a couple of years. I am struggling with technique and am working on getting it correct. My gym doesn't have bumper plates. Is this an issue? I've just been putting a 5kg single plate under the bar. No blocks either :(

Unhappy Has anyone's shoulder slipped while doing presses?

While pressing heavy dumbbells yesterday, my should slipped slightly. It did not dislocate, however its really sore, has limited mobility and now I am down and out. Has anyone ever experienced this and if so do you know how long this takes to heal and become stable again? Thanks!

Hi, all! How do you generally feel after a workout? I used to feel great and energized! The past several times I've been to the gym, however, I leave shaking, weak, sleepy (like I could just go to bed as soon as I get home), and nauseated. My husband thinks it's my blood sugar dropping at...

Other than the traditional squats which I persoally do not believe helped me in the slightest. Well, it helped my hams, not glutes. I'd say for me it has to be the hip thrusts. Anyone? Thank you
