Sticky Thread Sticky: Daily Workout - Challenges and Victories

In light of the extreme focus this board has in regards to the 'body beautiful' (and the frustration that results in people not 'getting results fast enough'), I thought I would create a sticky that changed the focus a little.... This is a thread for posters to use to recognise 'every day'...

Unhappy Do bodybuilders think people that work out at home are lazy?

So I came on here to learn how to lift weights and hopefully get some advice but so far have not spoken to anyone on this site. I can't afford a trainer or a gym so working out is left up to me. "The blind leading the blind" as it were. I have posted a few topics about working out from home with...

Been bulking for 3 months and no progress at all.. HELP

I've been bulking for about 3 months now and I feel like the only change I've made is an increase in body fat. I just upped my intake to around 2100 calories (I'm 5'3 and 119lbs; up from 115 when I started) so hopefully that'll help. Any tips or tricks to putting on muscle mass? I'd like to lean...

Is this reversible with training?

My knees go in - it's not my favorite attribute. I've had it my whole life and my boyfriend makes fun of me for it (in a nice way), but it really bothers me sometimes. I'm a runner and don't do a ton of weight lifting- just getting in to it. It's pretty clear that the inside of my leg has...

Good time to bulk, or no?

Hi all! I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong section - feel a little like a rabbit stuck in the headlights in these forums at the moment! Short back story - a few years back I suffered severely from anorexia and, as a result, lost pretty much all the muscle mass that I naturally had. My...

How Much & How Long?

Hi, Ladies. I had a question for you. I was curious to know how much other ladies were lifting and how long it took them to work up to that level? I am referring to an average set of 8 squats (or leg presses), bench presses, curls. The standard big ones. When I started out, I was really...

Coming back after serious illness

Without getting into too much detail I've been out of the gym since the beginning of the year. Prior to that the gym was my life but then I got so sick that I couldn't go if I tried. Last month I got on a new medication and its controlling my symptoms. I'm pretty much back to life as normal....

Exclamation When do you see the best results? (weight-lifting Q)

Sorry if this sounds stupid. But I hear so many different stories so I figure i'd ask this questions with experienced BB females. When you lift weights and you begin to feel the lactic-acid burn do you: A. Stop Immediately B. Continue a little further with the burn C. Push through the burn...

Talking Switching to a push/pull/legs routine...looking for some insight and tips.

Hey ladies, So I just came off of Kris Gethin's 12 Week Daily Trainer..which whooped my ass. Awesome program, and saw some results with it. Some people restart it after they finish but I'm looking to possibly slow down bulking for the purposes of my sanity, even pause it for a little while and...

Bikini physique training (and Strong Curves!)

Hi ladies I have been lifting for around 2.5 years and have always focussed on the big 3 - squats, deads and bench press, along with accessory exercises in a split of legs, back, chest + shoulders. But am now questioning whether this is working for me. I want to sign up for a photoshoot...
