Trouble increasing bicep weight?

I have been stuck doing biceps with a 15kg bar for about the past year...I tried dropping to 12.5 for technique and am back up to 15 again but I just can't seem to move the weight up! Any tips/advice would be much appreciated.

Trouble increasing dumbbell shoulder press weight

I train alone at the gym and the dumbbells jump from 10k to 12.5k. I can comfortably do sets of 10 with the 10k but I can't manage to jump to 12.5k. Normal to be bruised from squat bar?

I tried to do back squats yesterday but was quite sore when I rested the bar on my back (I usually go low bar). I couldn't figure out why until I had a look my back this morning - there are bruises where I usually rest the bar. Is this normal?
