Sticky Thread Sticky: Daily Workout - Challenges and Victories

In light of the extreme focus this board has in regards to the 'body beautiful' (and the frustration that results in people not 'getting results fast enough'), I thought I would create a sticky that changed the focus a little.... This is a thread for posters to use to recognise 'every day'...

Confused

Hi there. Let me preface this post by saying I'm not a bodybuilder. I'm just a regular run-of-the-mill chick. I'm 37 years of age, 5'3" and weigh 55kg. I have very little muscle mass and look soft. I know that I have some body fat to lose, but generally will only look better by increasing my...

Thumbs up Glute/ham exercises?

Looking to build up the glute/ham backview. What are your favorite exercises for building that area? I'm already doing weighted glute bridges, deadlifts, ham curls, cable kickbacks, weighted squats and lunges and eating in a surplus. What exercises could I add to help build this area up?

Hi ladies, I'm a newbie here, and I'm hoping you can enlighten me with your wisdom! As you can see by my attached picture, I have a banana roll underneath one of my butt cheeks. I know I can't spot reduce fat...I'm pretty lean anyway, but this bulge is damn stubborn. No matter how clean I...

Resistance bands

I'm looking into getting some resistance bands to add to my workouts. Does anyone have any suggestions on ones they've used and liked? I'd like to use them to help with pull ups, and maybe to try out some new movements with bands instead of weights (bench press, squats, etc).

Question How can I extend my workouts to get the most out of them?

Hi, I'm currently doing the Jamie Eason Livefit plan (day 8 week 2). For some reason I feel like I'm not doing something right because I'm able to finish all the exercises within 25 minutes. I feel like that's way too fast even though I am doing the 3 sets of 12 per wprkout as instructed. I think...

Buying a home gym

I'm looking to buy a home gym. I'd like an "all-in-one" type piece of equipment that allows me to work the whole body. I will be buying it used. Can anyone recommend a good home gym? FYI, I do not want a Bowflex.

Deadlifts hurt lower back?

I like doing straight leg deadlifts with dumbbells. Nothing super heavy, only using 20 or 25 lbs dumbbells in each hand. Sometimes when I do them my lower back hurts a little bit. It is never sore or painful after doing deadlifts; only sometimes during. I know deadlifts work your back aswell as...

My thighs are one of my main concerns as far as reaching my ideal body image. I used to do short distance sprints in track and as long as I can remember, I've always had thicker more muscular arms and legs but a small waist and flat stomach. I was looking at this article, and towards the bottom...
