Sticky Thread Sticky: Daily Workout - Challenges and Victories

In light of the extreme focus this board has in regards to the 'body beautiful' (and the frustration that results in people not 'getting results fast enough'), I thought I would create a sticky that changed the focus a little.... This is a thread for posters to use to recognise 'every day'...

To Rest or To Push-Through: How do you decide?

I'm only 3 months in at serious (i.e. consistent & heavy) lifting. I started out during the first two months lifting 5 days a week and then I realized that that was too much for my newbie self and in the past month I've moved to the Simply Shredded 4-day/week, upper/lower split. For some reason,...

BIKRAM YOGA: Instructor says no weights

Hi! I just attended my first bikram yoga class this AM. It was very enjoyable. Afterwards, the instructor said I did very well, so I mentioned I had been weight training for about a month. He said, "well if you are looking to tone you don't have to do that, you can just do this." My thoughts...

Pull ups and chin ups

I have always had a goal of being able to do chin ups and pull ups. I can do a quarter one...:S Am I better off doing a few months of PHUL to build strength before attempting to work on them? I'm pretty weak in the lower body department. Or do you think I could add it into my program somewhere?...
