Cool Feeling motivated again.

Long time lurker first post. Anyway after around 6 years of lifting my current maxes are around 225 bench, 315 squat and 420 deadlift with a bf of at least mid 20's. I feel I have wasted so much time program hopping and neglecting nutrition and could have reached these numbers so much quicker....

This is the 2nd time I've put on weight. The first time I kicked my ass back into gear but this time around I'm having trouble getting motivated. Plus I haven't been able to stay on track well with my diet and I need too. It's like I'm watching myself put on weight and not stopping it. Has anyone...

Thumbs down Is this body salvageable? (birthing hips)

Check it out. ww w.4gp.tw/b039/14115 15888159.jpg Sorry for the **** quality. Looks like I could give birth to twins and not feel a thing. Feelsbad. So, is there anything that can be done here? I know I still have some love handles but it's pretty obvious that the hip bone itself is freaking...

The Scale is NOT helping my motivation.

I have been hard at it recently. From this last spring up until now I have been doing my best to eat 6 meals a day, and workout 4-5 times a week. I still barely weigh 143lb! I want to reach 155lb by next spring, but at this rate it won't happen. I know I need to eat more, which I will do, you...

Arrow Caloric reduction on days off from work?

So this is my first post, forgive me if it's not very well put. :) I weigh in at 280, something like 35% BF at 6'1", 26 years old. Yeah, just starting out. My questions concern my work scheduling. I work 12 hour days, 3 or 4 days a week, not including overtime. I would consider my job above...

Thumbs up Sometimes it's the little things.

Got a good deal of motivation this weekend. I fit so much better into a costume I wear to LARP.(yeah I'm a geek.) On top of that, I completely dominated in the hand to hand combat. I can actually feel a difference. :)

Books or other stories that motivate you

I just learned about Dick Hoyt the other day and was blown away by his story. I searched the forum and nothing came up for this, and I'm looking for more reading material. What are some books or stories that have motivated you (in any life area, not necessarily just fitness or bodybuilding).

Hacking your habits

If I were to ask you what your habits are, you could probably tell me a number of things you know are your bad habits. You might tell me that you smoke, over eat at night, and automatically shout at people who drive badly. What would you find if you looked deeper? We know that we are creatures...

20 days of drinking, with little time to excercise, how not to lose muscle.

There will be alcohol-consumption atleast 2-3 days a week, and i will not be able to eat like a boss. Losing Strength

I don't know if it's stress (new job after 8 years) or bad sleep (I've been tossing / turning a bunch) but for some reason I used to be able to dumb bell flat bench ~70 / 75 lbs in each hand. Now I'm lucky if I can get 4-6 reps of 45 lbs in each hand. I don't know why but the problem is my right...

Question What's the one fitness rule you know, but have the hardest time following?

Most of us by now know that golden rules of overall fitness. Drink water, sleep, eat high protein within frequent meals, and combine weight training with traditional "cardio". We've also learned more specific rules for cutting fat (carb control, HIIT, etc) and building mass (lifting heavy,...
