My USA West Coast Car Trip Summary – March 23-April 3 2013

I normally don't originate posts but I thought I'd share some details about a recent car trip I took to San Diego and back. I had a hellish year - dog died, separation from wife after 21 years, serious job issues, and more - and was pretty screwed up; I hadn't hit the gym in 7.5 months until the...

Depressing thought today. I am not going to be alive to see 2300

I always thought we lived in the future. The future I imagined when I was a kid. Its all real now. Now we are seeing the beginning of 3d printers, scientists are on the verge of figuring out immortality, we are just beginning to understand our universe, computers etc... are in their infant...

Miss him like crazy...

For those who do not know, this was my Rottie TyRoc, last year I had to put him down as he had some kind of chemical imbalance in his brain and caused him to be come extremely vicious. He even went after me. I have had Rotties all my life, two I raised from puppies till they both die of old age,...

Smile "new addition" to our family

Meet Hedwig and Brunhilde, whom we welcomed to their new home today. I used quotation marks in the title since my better half has had these as pets in Germany for nearly 50 years. We've been wanting to bring them over for some time, but when my mother in law died last summer, we really had to...

New addition to the family.

Meet Tasha. She is an 11 yr old Australian Shepard/ blue healer. Her owner was moving and his GF did not want the dog coming. I do not understand being able to give up a dog you've had for 11 years (think i'd get rid of the Gf first) Angie delivers parts to the shop where the dog always is...

I would like to thank each and every American taxpayer

I just got from my local navy base. I stopped by the package store to check out their beers and they have recently renovated it. The place is like a giant palace dedicated to booze!! I was in heaven. Row after row of every possible liquor you can think of as well as beer. The have a full...

Bluetooth wireless headphones

I am thinking about getting a pair and am looking for any recommendations. I will only use them in the gym or when running. I'm guessing earbuds would be best for staying in place and being sweat resistant. Looking for good sound quality at a reasonable price.

Cool Hey there :) Lets get it on!

I mean, not in the sense of the song, haha, I mean this fitness thing ;) I am forty two years old, and first started my fitness/health journey in 2010. I did really well, losing forty pounds and getting much fitter than I have ever been in my life, but I went a little crazy, it started making...

Congresspeople should not hold town halls

They serve no purpose but to allow a group of bullies power. When I was in the city it was union bullies. Then in the suburbs it's anti Obama care bullies. It's the same mo. Shout over the congressman and shout over the anybody who dares have a different opinion such so me, anti union and pro...

Day after leg day soreness

I've been training legs once a week and playing basketball once to twice a week for over a year consistently and the soreness I get is terrible. I typically lift pretty heavy on squats and leg press then finish up with leg curls and extensions then calf raises before I stretch. I always eat well...

Anyone take their shirt off at the gym? Restaurant? Beach?

Do you feel subconscious taking off your shirt? Or you just don't give a **** and take your shirt off even when cruising the mall? When I was HUGE (230 @14% bodyfat) I would never take my shirt off, I felt odd and didn't like the attention. Now that I am more athletic and lean I think I won't...

I've friggen had it with these bee's

I've tried to be nice and not kill them but now I can't run the mower in the back yard without a fight. I shoved a garden hose in the nest and even poured vinager at the entrance. Nothing. Bee keepers won't do anything. I'm gonna have to kill them.

When Did You Lose Your Virginity

I lost mine at 14. It was in June 1976. There was a small feeder operation who agreed to buy cattle from my dad and another rancher. We worked cattle for 4-5 days in the hot Texas sun. The owner of the operation offered us a free trip to Mexico as a reward. My dad, being the gentleman that he is...

Changing Priorities

Last Saturday I was at the Dollar Store and saw a pair of Conair hair clippers for ten bucks. I thought, 'Why not?' It can't be that hard to cut your own hair. The #2 guard on the bottom, #3 up the sides, and the #4 right across the top! Doesn't look bad for a 'do it yourself' jobber. I can...

Wife is not pleased with me training a woman.

As most of you know I have been training people for as far back as I can remember and for those who know my wife and I (especially those who have met us) know Patty is not a jealous woman at all. She has put up with my craziness for 32 years, the flirting, the fights, etc etc... I started...

It just slipped out (unusual experience at the gym) Help

I have no idea why I said this, it just slipped out. Backstory: I joined this gym a little over a month ago. It has a nice pool, although, just between you and me, I think they put way too much chlorine in it. Anyways, I decided to take a swim. I walked into the pool area and as I was...
