NASM WLS and CES test

Hi, Im sure there are CES on here. I tried the test once and failed it, not by a lot. Clock got me nervous so I blanked a bit. Anyway, are their quizzes at then end of each chapter a good way to prepare? I figured if I printed them out and read up on weaker areas the quizzes are similar to the...

The official NASM CES study guide thread

I find this to be much more difficult than the CPT, yet we can take the test at home on our computers, open book unlike the CPT. Below are most questions from the practice exam with the correct answer and the page # where the answer can be found. Some questions I didn't include because they were...

Can You Negotiate Fees with Personal Trainers

Looking for some input from PTs.... I currently workout with a trainer that owns his own independent training facility (not really a gym, but he does 1/1 training). I've been a loyal customer for over a year now and I really enjoy going there. Would it be rude to ask for a discount? I'm...

Question Ethical dilemma - Potential client cannot afford Personal Training and...

Hello all my fellow personal trainers. How do you feel when a new (potential) client has NEVER worked out a day in their life, needs your help, but cannot afford 1 session let alone 10 or 20 for an effective package. I experienced this many times in the past and am curious how you would handle...

Has anyone successfully used, and received your CEU's from your PT certifier? I need to look into furthering education, and these classes seem too good to be true. Thanks for the input!

Will personal training get me great results??????

I trained with 4 personal trainers for like 16 months. I was 18 years old at the time and very young. Can't really...

Questions about ACE certification

Website says the test is $400. Several study guides on amazon some are cheap. I know in college they like to make slight changes to the book and reissue as the new edition for hundreds of dollars for classes sometimes. How many training sessions do you work per week?

Hi, I'm doing a bit of research. My assumption is that the average trainer is doing about 15-25 sessions per week. How many do you do? Are you trying to currently do more sessions than you currently do? Are you exactly where you'd like to be? Are you purposely doing part-time?

body fat calipers. 4-site or 7-site?

I typically use the 4-site body fat caliper test on my clients. However this evening I've been playing around with the 7-site test. On me there was a huge difference. The 4-site puts me at 23-4% and the 7-site puts me at 16.6%! This seems like way too big a gap for both to be of the same accuracy....
