Smile First time BULKERS apply here ;)

I'll start. To summarize.... when *I* started~I'm not sure when to say my bulk began. Initially I went from eating at a deficit to eating at what I perceived as maintenance(1900-2000ish) around mid-August. Started eating about 200-300ish above maintenance by the 3rd week in August. BUT my...

Why don't most female bodybuilders have big butts?

I'm 5'3" and 108 lbs. I decided a few months ago that I should cut first while maintaining strength, and then I wanted to build muscle afterwards. I'm happy with the muscle I have on all of my body except my legs and butt. I really want a butt like fitness model Katya Elise Henry or Casi Davis....

Macro experiment for my first actual off season

A lot of you girls know I've been a competitor for the past few years and done well with it. But I only really started working with macros 2 years ago (I don't necessarily have the experience that some may assume I have, lol). My first year I kind of did things on intuition... so I'm not super...

New Rules for Lifting for Women...tracking

Hi ladies. A while back I purchased and read New Rules for Lifting for Women. At first it was a bit hard for me to understand how the workout was structured so I had to sit down and sketch it out. I created a spreadsheet for Stage 1 to help with tracking and keeping me on target. If you have...

I recently signed up for an August show and got a trainer. I am not "out of shape" regarding excess fat but I am/was lacking any and all muscle and definition. I have been on a strict high protein diet, lifting 5 days and cario 7 per week. Originally I wanted to compete in Figure rather...

Hey everyone! So I am 9 weeks out from my first bikini competition and I'm getting nervous! I've done very well prepping so far. I started out at 166lbs, 32% bf back in October and 111lbs lean matter. Now stand at 152 lbs, 20% bf (possibly a bit lower as I won't have it tested again until next...

Is strength correlated with lean body mass

Is it possible that two people with the same lean body mass have great differences in strength. For example me and my friend both have a lean body mass of 50kg however, she is able to lift heavier weights than I can in multiple exercises.

Post Skin Breaking out, Diet Change?

My skin has started breaking out, my back, shoulders and face. I'm not taking any pro hormones or supplements aside from my usual protein. Could this be a result of a calorie increase? My skin hasn't done this before.

Hurrow everyone. Thought I would start one of these. We have a bulking thread, and I figure that after all the winter months, there are most likely others (like me) working on cutting down some. So I guess I thought it'd be cool if we posted our progress here. :) Pics are always a bonus as well!...
