Weightlifting Program Templates

I already posted this in the Calling all OL'ers thread, but figured I'd give it a bit more exposure. This is the template that I and one of my athletes (who is a data analyst) made. I use this to do the programming for the team that I coach. It automatically calculates weekly, daily, and exercise...

GM'ing my squats

Hi everyone, I've got a pretty big issue of GM'ing my squats, no matter what style I try to do. Currently I am trying to do Olympic atg style squats, due to a recurring shoulder/nerve issue I have when I do low bar squats (have tried multiple things to remedy this, but it affects any pressing...

I started oly lifting 2 and a half months ago and have since made strides in the snatch but have not had the same luck in the jerk. I have lifted prior to this for a couple years and here are my stats as of now; ...

World Record Hang Clean/Power Clean?

I was just wondering if anyone new of the world record in just the Hang Clean or Power Clean? I would think it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 lbs. In college, I Hang Cleaned 365x1 at 230 lbs which I think it pretty solid but I know that is probably warm-up weight for some...

YOUR thought on strict pressing?

Does it actually slow it down the jerk? I don't know why it would but, this is what I've heard from so many people. Anyone successfully get their jerk to catch up to their clean by strict pressing?

Switching from High to Low Bar Squats

Trouble to squat ATG...how can I fix my problem ?

jSeHA4ysmOQ I cant sit between my feet, my ass is stuck behind. So, to keep the bar above my feet, I must lean forward. To get my ass between my feet, I have to use a wide stance. If I use a wide stance...I cant squat deep. If I use shoulder width stance, I can squat deeper, but my ass is...

How to be faster under the bar in the clean

Without getting crushed? Some times if i try to be faster than the bar i just drop straight to the bottom and the bar ends up landing on my clavicles and knocks the air outta me making the recovery for the clean hard and the jerk even harder. Any imput? Esp from Raffiki. thanks!

long torso + short legs = good at Oly Squat <<< this doesn't make sense to me

How does this make sense? The long torso, to me, is in immense disadvantage. Longer torso = much more load on the spine = balance issue, minimal hamstring recruitment. I've always used the stick analogy: Take a long stick, hold it on each hand and then try to break it. Longer the stick, the...
