Can I make muscle gains on a caloric maintenance?

I really want to start getting into strength/resistance training and want to know if it's possible to make gains eating at let's say 2000-2200 calories a day while eating a decent amount of protein. Even if it's a long process, I am willing to be patient and give it time.

Im planning on going on a more full on bulk when late fall/winter hits again, but for now, is about 2100-2400 enough cals for muscle gains? I dont really want to look too bad during summer, but still I want to improve my strength. As a sidenote, I eat around 100g of protein a day btw.
