Sticky Thread Sticky: O35 Official Deadlift Competition Thread

Since we lost the last deadlift competition thread, it's time for a new one. Ideally we can get this stickied, and get some mod reps for the weight class winners. I'll be checking the contest regularly to update standings. Since the thread may last longer than a year, we can declare winners at...

May as well throw this one out there so we have all 3 major lifts represented. :) Open to ideas as to how things should run but here's how I see it..... - must be Flat BB Bench only (using an OLY bar). No Incline Bench, Decline Bench or DBs. - Raw lifts only. No shirted benching. (wrist...

My Strategy - Should this work?

Hey everyone, My long term goal is to go from 300lbs @33%BF down to 220-230@ 10%BF or less, I am 6ft tall with large bone structure. I've seen lots of transformations on here were people get skinny and then try and bulk. I am not really interested in going that way for several reasons as such I...

How to lose the thin layer of fat around the mid-section?

I've really gotten into fitness and health in the past 4 years and I've gone from 180 lbs. to 150 lbs., and reduced my waist size significantly. But I still have a thin annoying layer of fat around my mid-section that I can't seem to lose. I can't tell if it's my diet that's now wrong for my...

Not sure if you guys saw this already, Arnold video on "shocking" the muscle to grow.

Most these days say this is pure bro-science, but I would take what a bodybuilder like Arnold says over "science" any day! Most doctors and science go "against" what bodybuilders preach, from the amount of protien to ingest, to the intake on steroids. But yet they have the body to back up their...

Sharp pain in hand when benching

Lately when doing bench press, I've been getting a sharp pain in the heel of my left hand. For exact location, look at palm of your left hand, on the pinky side, then go down towards the wrist, but stop about an inch from the wrist. That's the spot. It hurts more the heavier the weight I use. ...

Butt Wink

I seem to have got rid of most of my butt wink. Used to be bad. I recently watched this and got some lulz from some of the discussion on internet squatting. In all seriousness I wish I found this years ago. I wound up piecing this together from advice, watching people who could squat. People...

Whats your purpose for going to the gym?

do you find yourelf going just for the sake of going/ This is whjat I used to do for the longest time. Not a bad approach to working out,..but I found giving myself a purpose created a whole new window into why I was working out. Just curious what other members think.
