Question Am I losing muscle?

Hey guys, My caloric deficit should get me to around 2800 cals, but i only eat 2500. Can this slow my fatburning process? will i lose my muscle before my fat? or is it okay to stay under my real deficit? would appreciate an answer :D Thanks
