Wow, skimboarding has come a long way since I was a kid.....LOL - I used to skim back in the early 70's (started on a homemade wood board, then bought a fiberglass flat board........amazing how much they look more like surfboards, these days !!!) Ahhhhh, summers "down the shore" ;) in Surf City, NJ
Geez, I miss those days............................................

Looks fun. When I used to think of skim boarding I'd think of annoying little kids down the beach falling all over the place. Over here in the UK there’s very few die hard skim boarders. The standard of our skim boarders is nothing like the French, Americans, Brazilians ect..

That second video was sick, they were incorporating stuff from skating and surfing. very impressive :)

I'm a surfer btw

Have you tried surfing? I assure you its a lot better than skim boarding.

hiphophead... i've done both skimming and surfing (surfing on and off) While surfing is fun, once you get good at skimming and actually have waves to ride I enjoy it much more. Here are some pics of me skimming random places, some of these are contest shots...

edit last one is obviously photoshopped but you get the idea of how hard you can turn and spray those things

Yeah can see it looks fun. I'm not guna argue with you why surfing is better than skimming. Its personal preference. Personally, for me no sport has come close to the feeling surfing,

sick pictures btw, gl in your future contests. repped

Hey thanks man. And yea it is all preference. Each of them is really fun, just something about going full speed with no fins into a wall of water and bashing it and riding back in gets me wet hahaha

but sick pics of you too. I've met a couple of people who have come from the UK to skim here in cali, way mellow. ps your water looks freezing

nice board bro. I love to skim board, the beach is were i live.lol
but last winter i was an idiot and took my skim board out when it was snowing. And i must say it worked real well in the snow. LOL but it ended up breaking because i guess it froze the board and cracked it. lol i have not bought a new one since. I just stick with surfing till i can get a new one.
