I want to find a partner to run a journal with. I thought if I found someone else just starting out or a bit down the track we could compare results and discuss/ share experiences. Some info. on me below:
I am male from Tasmania in Australia.
I am not quite 35 (33 actually) but dont hold that against me.
Have been weight training for just over a month.
I use One Rep Max at the moment to keep track of my progress and am using a 3 day a week full body beginners workout routine.
I am 6 foot one and weight 87kgs.
If I find a partner to share a journal with I will go into more details.

Hello neighbor!
If you don't find a partner, start a journal yourself - you'll get plenty of help and support.
(How was Tassie during that cold blast yesterday)?

Hello JMC, we had another frost, which is amazing for this time of the year.
Apparently the apples are falling of the trees, they cant stand the frost onslaughts, so expect apple to be as expensive as bananas shortly.
Thanks for your reply, I will start my own journal just thought it might be fun and beneficial to share experiences and results with someone similar.
Are you going to see any of the Ashes?

Hi alkell. Welcome to the forum. :) I second jmc's suggestion. Believe me, once you start a journal there will be so many of us in here talking to you, you won't notice the lack of a partner. :)

Hello, Alkell. I also agree. I spend half my time in my journal trying answer questions from annoying Aussies. :D

(inside joke there, Alkell)

Yep, usually we just each start a journal and then support each other along the way. You should start one and we will most certainly pipe up if you have any questions or if we have any questions about what you're doing. Plus, we make excellent cheerleaders. :)

Welcome to the Over 35 section!

Agree with everyone else, mate.

We will not hold your youth against you if you promise not to hold our griping about chronic injuries against us.

Once you start recording your journal you are going to get encouragement and feedback from some excellent people. I would just go for it.

We also tend to be a pretty comical group here, too.
Watch out though, or you'll get roped into a thong show-down! :D

Hello All
Thanks for the encouragement.
DBX I like your signature and your short term goal is the same as mine.
I will take the advice and start my own journal, I think I'll call it something original like Alkells BB Journal

And we spend half our time pretending he was helpful!

Not going to any ashes games, but will be watching every second. I live about 1.5 hours outside Melbourne metro area, so even when they play in Melbourne I get all day televised live on TV.
There's one Pom has a journal here, but he ignored my question about the cricket!
I'll keep an eye out for your BB'ing journal when you start it.
One tip: make it clear whether you're talking in pounds or kilograms - I just convert to pounds cause most guys and gals here think in pounds.
Jason.
