Conventional deadlifts are going on the back burner. As soon as i feel able i'll prolly start back with rack deads, then progress to sumo deads. Dunno if i'll ever pull conventionally again, it's just not worth it IMO, plus i'm mentally scared ****less now to pull any substantial weight from the ground.
I might throw in some light weight rep work down the line...eh who knows :D

Back is starting to noticably get better. It's still tight as hell, but def. recovering. Pullups/chins are coming along nicely. Will up to +35 next session. Nothing to crazy here, just nice to be back in the gym :)

Good to see you gettin in the gym even with the back, do you drive to the gym though? I remember after I hurt mine driving sucked so much cause I could barely sit easy and couldnt twist left or right to check blind spots

Yeah i'd say my chinup strength is slightly stronger, but my pullup strength is almost the same cause i do them more often.
Do you think i should keep the variations or pick one style and focus on it??

Yeah i drove to the gym. It sucks sitting down, but it's only a 5 minute drive so it's not too bad. I know exactly what you're sayin tho :D

i would pick one. i would choose the one which you feel is more effective for back/lat development.
once i stopped progressing on that movement, then i would swap it out for the other (chins/pullups, whichever one)
additionally i wouldnt try to move up too fast on these. in my experience slow progresss leads to the best progress in the long run

It's crazy how they're selling it, only a 20 day supply at recommended dossage. Which is obsurd.

yea except its in larger dosages, but will likely be more expensive
you need more than one bottle of that ****, im sure you know that though
im holding off on it because i would want to dose higher than the recommended and im not sure how your body would react with only an AI fo pct

I ordered 2 bottles.
I've got heaps of nolva and clomid, so no prob if i get shut down, which i know wont happen.
Edit: i may just use it as a cutting agent and keep the dossage low. Bet the strength gains would still be noticable.

When I went in Saturday i did mostly machine work just to be safe. Feelin a lil better now tho (it's mostly just strong tightness/stiffness which gets better when when warmed up/stretched out) so i'm going to ease back into my normal routine.

Oh, okay. Yeah machines are a lot more forgiving when you're dealing with an injury imo. That's definitely a good thing when the pain goes away as the area gets warmed up. You'll get back to the "good ol'" days soon :p.

Tough session! Went with 225 again on BP cause of teh bum back. Just didnt know what to expect, and certainly didnt feel real comfortable. Incline DB's def. didnt feel good. Kicking them up hurt. Dips didnt bother me at all, and were very solid. Nice progress there. Decided to do incline DB Fly's, have always liked them. Curls were curls, kept em short and simple since i just hit them on Sunday.

Didnt really break a sweat on 225, but adding 10lbs makes a world of a difference :p

What's funny is if you saw him on the street you wouldnt have a clue. He wears a baggy t shirt to the gym too. Straight sleeper lol.
After he got done repping (didnt even reach failure, i'd guess he had 5-6 more in him) i told him i was jealous and he laughed his ass off. He said "bro i got 20 years on you, you'll be here too." I replied with, "uh, i highly doubt it, but thanks!" (while chuckling).
If i had to guess, the guy only weighs 220-230.
People like this amaze me. It's really something special.

Yeah the program is going along very nicely. Size is responding incredibly. Arms shrunk down to 15.75 roughly a month ago and are back up to nearly 16.5 and looking bigger than ever.

Welp, if teh back injury wasnt enough, I got laid off today. I'm not really going to delve into it, and sure aint fussed over it as i had no passion for the direction my career was going. Constantly found myself staring at the clock wishing the day to go by. So it's on to bigger and better things.
I've had a love for law enforcement my entire life, and am going to pursue it. Thru a few contacts, i'll be interviewing with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and will hopefully be training very soon. I've got much higher aspirations with law enforcement as well, but that'll be down the line.
Gotta look for light in every bad situation right? Well i see it as a god send, cause i didnt have the courage to quit. I saw it as a job, that paid very well. But a price has to be put to happiness, and i wasnt happy.
Now this is going to be a fun journey :D

Eh who was i kidding. I was misrible, hated the work, and was just raving about it cause i got paid a lot and didnt have to do jack **** cause we were so slow. The division I worked for had a disasterous year last year (i didnt even work for them at the time) and it showed on the numbers this year. They started laying off the nOObs to the company in my division to make up for losses. Pathetic imo. Lots of other things that were absolutely rediculous, but not going to get into it.
I cant wait to get into law enforcement. It intrigues me and motivates me more than u could imagine. Dan i could so see you as an EMT or firefighter. Go for it man.
Today's session was just something i threw together. Had no real direction while i was in there...just tried to do lifts that didnt aggrivate my back. I'll be back to my split as soon as the back is better.
As for the chins, +25x5x3 was a previous PR, so i shattered that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it doesn't take very long to get certified. Then in Utah, you have to wait a year before you can get into the Fire fighting Academy after getting your EMT certification. (yes moving back to Utah)

So, last night i wrote down a number of questions and some feelings to talk to my boss about. What's strange is, he told me i was layed off, but i still have to come into work, as they're giving me 6 weeks till i'm officially done. I dont get it, why make me come into work?? I feel like **** being here, and am certainly not motivated to do any work.
By no means have I done anything to be fired. Never been late for work, and always got my work done in a timely fashion. Only he can answer these questions for me. Do i feel like i've given 110% to furthering my career? No. It's difficult to give your everything when your heart isint in it. But i have done everything under the sun that has been asked from me.
If i have in fact been fired, this could get very interesting. There must be some type of wrong doing on my part, and i cant wait to hear it

from a human resouces point of view, be careful if they offer you some deal....a freind got laid off from her job, and they wanted her to sign off on future earnings..they brought her back at half her perviuos pay cause she signed it, then they tried to cheat her out of her full UI payments, so be careful what you sign....

the papers could screw you over for unepmoyment...so read anything they give you to sign..very closely...

So, just got out of my meeting with my boss and i was layed off due to the divisions financial situation and downtime. My 6 weeks are severance pay. I now need to decide whether i want them to go ahead and lay me off and collect unemployment (lol) or stay my 6 weeks (which i think i'm going to do) while getting my interviews underway.
It was a great meeting in fact, and answered all my questions. What a relief!

Welp, I thought the back was mended enough to do the PC&SPs, but it really wasnt. Had to struggle thru the last 2 sets, with a bit of pain. Def. shoulda called it quits, but oh wells. The hack squat machine felt pretty damn good, nailed my quads hard. After the PC&SP's i tend to lose a lot of strength. My cgbp def. suffered. I am supposed to do skulls, but looks like i'm going to have to find another exercise, cause my elbows were killing me. Tried the HS seated dip for my second exercise. I like it, as you can really throw weight on it. I got zero pump from it though...is this normal?? I also did a few pressdowns but not worth mentioning.
Good stuff though. Just got back from a Broadway show with my girl, my parents, and some of their friends. It might sound ghey, but I love those damn things :D.
Day off tomorrow! Headin to Ashville to wish my sister and her husband off. They're moving to NYC :eek:.

don't play with your LB bro.....you could end up paying the price like me....almost 4 years without squatting and deads and always kinda scared of getting injured once again....i love squats and deads....before i got injured i did 315lbs x 10 GVT (squats) and 350-400 for reps (deads) on a regular basis....now all those lifts are gone, cause i was stupid enough not to take properly care of my body and end up injuring my self pretty bad.....the fact i could avoid surgery is a miracle in itself......learn from mine and others mistakes bud......don't be a fool with your body.......and i'm sorry if i'm being too honest but i don't wish for anyone especially a friend to go through what i suffered.....

Awesome lift. Hangs are increasing nicely. Should be to 2 minutes before long. Awesomeness to have a plate on for BB curls. My forearms have gotten remarkably larger and vascular. I only have a little bit of fat left to lose, so no need in going crazy with intense cardio.

Thanks bro. Yeah my arms actually are starting to look decent on me. They're pretty damn cut up, but are still much smaller than i want them. Sitting cold they're only 15.75ish, but pumped are a little bigger than 16.25. I feel ya on having smallish arms...sucks lol.
My best squat was 415, but i when i was squatting heavy i def. had a good bit more in me. I hit 405x5 at one point, and im sure i coulda hit 455 then.
Yeah man i'm lookin foward to gettin some pics up and seeing everyone's progress. Should be very interesting :D

Also, i've noticed if i do them first in the w/o the wrist pain isint as bad as if i do them later in the w/o.

It's been a hell of a cut bruh. Successful one too. Only one real hiccup (my sister's wedding).
Will finish up around 190 prolly, but with 11oxo i should be able to add some mass before comp time is up. So that'll be 36lbs total that i cut.
Never knew i was so fat lol...now i know how/why everyone underestimates their BF%.

Sweet jesus i hit failure on every exercise except flys. BB bench was a bear today. Losing all this weight has def. taken it's toll! I'm still happy though, at least i got the first set cleanly. Second set i ALMOST got all 5. After reaching failure on that second set, i was just dead the rest of the w/o. Failure was reached on HS incline and dips.
Def. taking tomorrow off after this bear of a lift

The cut's going great man. My avatar pic is when i was at 206, so subtract 12 more lbs off that for where im at now. I'll have a number of pics up in 3 weeks for LC's comp. But, i'll have some progress pics up this week as well.
They all used to say that to me too, but the fact is, i was fat and i knew it. I agree that alot of muscle hides fat well, but in reality you're still carrying alot of fat. It's gotta come off at some point. I agree with the slow cut, but i had a time duration, so i decided to go full out. I wont ever full out dirty bulk again...too much work in cutting it back off.
Boy i cant wait till my first big cheat :p

haha...i have def. morphed over to the bber side, but will always enjoy 1RM's and the such. Guess i more of a powerbuilder :/ lol..
It's not that i wanted to go to failure, those were the poundages i was supposed to be on. Quite frankly, i just got owned. Looks like i've stalled on my chest work, and am going to have to just keep working it to get stronger. Next week i'll stay with 230 and hope to get that second set at least. That'll be a PR.
I'll stop my cut in 3 weeks, or when i have full ab definition. Whichever comes first.

Just my opinion, I think you should probably stick with 225 next week. Its not like youre going to get stronger next week at this point in your cut. No reason to go for 230 if youre just going to get owned by it again....
I would just try to get a good chest workout and leave out the blue at this point in your cut. Youll be repping 230 as soon as you get off the cut im sure. Or maybe you just had a bad day, dunno...

In a way i agree with you, but i'm not going to do that. I'll go down in weight each set in an attempt to reach 5 reps cleanly. I just misjudged it on my later sets. For some reason i went into this workout really flat. I could tell i was flat on the very first set. Plus, i'm on 11oxo, and it should yeild some strength gains. ****...I got the first set, and almost the second. If i complete the second set next week, that will be a gain and a PR.
See what i'm sayin bruh?

Sweet jesus i hit failure on every exercise except flys. BB bench was a bear today. Losing all this weight has def. taken it's toll! I'm still happy though, at least i got the first set cleanly. Second set i ALMOST got all 5. After reaching failure on that second set, i was just dead the rest of the w/o. Failure was reached on HS incline and dips.
Def. taking tomorrow off after this bear of a lift
I feel ya bro. After a crazy ass workout, sometimes I'll take the next day off for full recuperation. Still a strong workout though buddy. The HS incline machine is kick-ass.

I slept incredible last night, so am gonna go in for Back and cardio today...feelin pretty good actually.
Yeah i love the HS incline machine. I really focus on poking my chest out as much as possible so it's fully recruited.

Yup. Our HS machine is right in front of the mirror, so it motivates me to see my HYOOOOGE teh pump during all sets. :D

haha...I tell you what, that damn HS Incline really gets teh pump going. 8-10 rep range seems to be a perfect number for me on it.
I'm gonna keep HS Incline in teh routine till my back heals...then back to DB's.
