I was working towards it this year. BUT ... I was recently in a car accident. T-boned by a yukon while in a sunfire. I am 5'9" and about 15% body fat. I am in "active" physio. though and they said next year for sure. Trying to be positive here...
Competing costs so much. Have you competed??? if so, how did you get the funds/sponsors?
I want to compete in physique/fitness ... so the dance and choregraphy play a big part ... :)

I'm going for the women's bodybuilding in the SOuthern AB one this June. It is my first competition so I'm not really sure how everything will work out. Yeah it is very expensive, but I'm working with Brian & Donna Logue so hopefully they can tell me what I need to do.
Have you competed before? ****ty about the car accident. I was rear-ended about 4 months ago but it wasn't as bad as the first 3 accidents haha. (all not my fault, for the record). Take it easy & don't rush into anything.
I'm totally not a fitness person so I think I'll stick to figure after this one.

I'm from Saint John, New Brunswick. My girlfriend is moving out to Edmonton next week. Does anybody know the employment situation in the gyms out in Edmonton. I'm a natural bodybuilder looking for employment. I have looked into going to NAIT for the Personal Fitness Trainer program. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Ripped at 176 lbs. (last summer)
Off season weight 204 lbs. (now)

im not too sure how the employment prospects are for people without a program behind them, but the PFT program is supposed to be really good, and nait gym is really nice, haha im a local

im from Calgary, but I can respond to the cost to compete. Really it all depends on quantity of food on the diet, length of diet, coaching (if have one) costs, if your gonna be taking any "assistance", quality and "bling" on your posing suits, showtime esthetics (dream tan, protan, muscle sheen etc) as well any additionals (tanning, hair removal, make up, hair etc..).
For the abba your looking at $50.00 for membership dues as well as $75.00 (or $100.00 for late entry) on contest entry fees.
Hope this helps :)
