TOPIC: Who Will Win The 2006 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships?

For the week of: November 1st - November 7th
Tuesday @ Midnight Is The Final Cut (Mountain Time, US & Canada).

-------------------------------------------------------------

Every year it seems like some unknown name pops out of nowhere to claim the top spot of the NPC Nationals. This year is no different and has a very competitive lineup including a relatively unknown Evan Centopani.

Who will come in and take the overall crown and why do you think it will go down that way? Will Evan show up in perfect condition or will some unknown enter and take it all?

Where did you get the name list from? They totally jacked up my name. They put "Richard Bobodillo", while the correct spelling is "Bobadilla". We'll see how many people sign up late. Last year there were 21 in the lightweights, and the list only shows 13 this year. I guess that's just 8 less people for me to beat ;) . Be looking for me guys.

V/r,
Richard "BobZilla" Bobadilla

Don't worry Will there will be an article from me by 11PM tonight for sure. I think the reason why people did not respond to this week is because they might not know the people competing, so the topic was awkward/hard to write for them.

But as i said, expect an article by 11PM Wed Night :)

Who Will Win 2006 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships?

The road to becoming a professional bodybuilder is hard. It takes years of discipline, commitment and sacrifice. It is something that not many people can achieve. The right timing and the right goals are needed to get to that level. At the 2006 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships many dreams will come true and many dreams will be shattered. For me this is one of the best time to go to a bodybuilding show. If you’ve never seen a show in your life, you should go to it. It will be full with excitement and drama as people from all walks of life have worked hard on building the best physique possible. I appreciate this contest a lot because you can see the hunger from the competitors on stage. This is not you local mom and pops contest. This is for real.

Even though there are many competitors the judges have a approximate idea of who’s who in this contest. The favored overall winner is Evan Centopani. I personally happen to follow Evan’s career so far and I believe that he will take everything. Evan has amazing genetics that will put him shoulder to shoulder with the top pros in the IFBB. He is only 24 years old but at 5’11 and 237 contest shape, he is a Super Heavy Weight that should be feared of.

After coming out of the 2006 NPC Junior National Championship at overall 1st, Evan deserved all the fuss that he’s getting. People are talking about him as the show comes closer, and they should, he is someone to prepare for. The thing about Evan that strikes me the most is that in the 2006 NPC Junior Nationals he stood out from his competition. He was ultimately developed and clearly bigger. More size and conditioning that everybody else. I believe that he will do the same thing for this contest, if not better. Evan is competing on a whole new level and I know that he will be rewarded for his hard work and consistency.

I don’t see any body coming in amazing shape and shocking anybody. Evan has this cleared up. Nobody can rival him at this level.

How is William Wilmore competing so far as a rookie pro in the IFBB?

After an amazing win at last years contest William is doing pretty good as a pro. After trying to get his pro card since 1996, William finally got his dream. I don’t believe that he can hang with the big boys yet. Although he has a pro card he has certain areas that he needs to improve. Not to mention getting more size so he can stand out on smaller pro shows. His legs need work along with his arms and overall size and symmetry. Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy it’s just that once he got his pro card, he entered into a whole new pond that filled with big killer fish. He needs to step up his game in order to make a big impact in the IFBB.

Bonus Question: Have you ever attended the NPC Nationals? If so, what did you think of it and how was your experience? Was it what you thought it would be? How could it be made better?

I have not attended the NPC Nationals yet. I believe that will happen in 2007 for me. I plan on buying my tickets ahead of time and making sure that I go there. After going to the Emerald Cup 2006, I noticed how hungry and excited all the guys were. It’s not a like a pro show where competitors compete for money and if they loose they have to improve. This is different because all of the guys are nobody’s or local gym stars. All the guys are hungry for the win and that makes the competition exciting and to the end.

I love watching contest where the competitors have everything to lose and their dream to gain. It motives me in the gym and for my own personal bodybuilding goals. I would like to step on the NPC stage one day, and I know that will take a lot of work, but by watching shows like these, I plan on doing everything possible to reach my goal.

Good Luck to all the competitors!
