Definately not a good idea. It might vary by area, but I think carrying it would technically be legal, but they would hit you with intimidation or something else if you ever displayed it. Some areas you can't even own a BB gun.

You shouldn't ever pull a gun unless you need to and are willing to use it, so the only thing that's gonna happen is trouble. How would a replica have helped you in the situation w/ the other person having a real gun? So what happens when you pull yours and he pulls his real one and shoots you?

Quoted for correctness and ABSOLUTE truth.
The only time you pull a gun or knife is to kill. Your target should never see the knife, nor the gun. He should only know that hes just been shot or stabbed, not the source of it That is true safe self-defense. Otherwise you increase your risk of dying exponentially.
Not to mention brandishing is illegal.

Don't pull it unless you're prepared to use it. If you use it you had better be ready to kill. If you can get away from an altercation that is the best defense.

you can be charged with brandishing if you point it at someone, not to mention intent for carrying conealed weapon, in my state ensighting riotous gunfire, <---old law but its on the books. And if you pulled it on me in plain clothes I would definatley shoot no questions asked so the big question is do you wanna die for a fake gun/toy.
Blank guns are mainly used for training hunting dogs or retrievers to get them used to loud noises.
