Anyone here gone from a Keto diet over to the meal plans in the Elite Physique ?? I have just downloaded and read The Elite Physique (excellent read and very inspirational !) over the weekend and am all fired up to loose the 10 pounds in four weeks before I go on my honeymoon in the beginning of March (St Lucia & can't wait!).

I am a little concerned that I may actually gain weight going from no/low carbs (carb-up on weekends) to eating on the daily meal plans in the Elite Physique which involves eating carbs.

Also am not 100% sure about how much I should be eating - should I base it around protein & carbs in relation to my weight and take some off or base things around calorie intake and reduce the amount of calories I take in??

Started today on the daily meal plan but have just kept everything to the minimum and am drinking my usual plenty of water - around 3 to 3.5 litres a day.

Thanks if you are able to help - Thanks Ms Fit for writing a great resource for helping folks like me chage round the way we think about eating (I am always on diets incl faddy ones and this I am sure is going to be the last time I change my eating habits !).

I would send Msfit a PM, and ask about the carbs. She helped me when I switched off of keto.

I have not read that book, so I am not sure how much you are going up in carbs. You don't want to get into trouble with increasing the carbs too much, too soon.

Best of luck losing the 10lbs. The honeymoon sounds divine!! :)

Sorry.....I've been swamped with getting newsletters out, fine-tuning my homepage and working on my contest prep book.

I got the PM and your answer is awaiting. ;) Thanks Trish and G-Wiz!!

Just to shed some light. I don't promote the keto in How To Lose Weight, but I do include a good variety of essential fats. Iron Dolls is more of a plan to diet down with over a 12-20 week time span.

I don't recommend jumping from keto to carbs, you will rebound, bloat and store more fat. Give yourself a grace period of about 2 weeks to re-introduce carbs so you don't throw your body outta wack! (Been there, done that!) LOL not fun. Post comp is the worse. LOL

G-Wiz, you want to lose 10 lbs in a month. You are better off doing what you are already doing, implement my plan after your married and settled so it can have time to take effect properly.

For now I suggest eating protein with every meal as well as a lot of green veggies. Save the compelx carbs for task that require a good amount of fuel. Drink a lot of water to remove the excess sodium. You have a month, drink at least a gallon of water a day from here on out. Of course, slack off to half two days before the wedding and half that the day before, don't wanna float down the asile. :D

Any way, congrats and good luck! If you were in the states I'd phone chat so we could get this covered thorough!

Ms Fit - thank you, will go along with this until after the honeymoon ! Will have a look after this at gently re-introducing the carbs and then all being well will start to loose those excess pounds !

Do you think I would find your other publication, Iron Dolls, of benificial reading ? And where can I buy it if so ?

Thanks again - I seem to be doing a lot of thanking to everyone on this site since joining - your all just too helpful !!

The wedding is coming up soon!!
You just better make sure that dress does not end up being too big for you! :)

I would just stay focused on the Elite Physique right now. When you get back from the honeymoon, you can get Iron Dolls.
I am still reading and rereading so much in that book, even after a couple of weeks.
The book is great, but it forces you to really put alot of effort into diet and workouts. Which is great too.

Right now just do as you are doing without adding more stress before the wedding. Then take the time to enjoy the honeymoon!

Thanks for the heads up Trish and Hib, I've been out sick.

Iron Dolls is much more detail in the building muscle and dieting department. The dieting layout is similar, however Iron Dolls takes it a step further and it's much more geared toward building muscle and/or losing bodyfat. ;)
