Alcohol while leading a bodybuilding lifestyle is a bad idea.

When taking Creatine, you should be taking in about a gallon of water with it just to keep hydrated. Alcohol dehydrates... How much water are you taking in as it is?

it is almost pointless to take creatine if you drink weekly, plus it is horrible on your liver

where is everyone getting this info? pointless if you drink once a week???? alcohol has shown to decrease heart disease as long as its one drink a day. most things are fine.....in moderation. taking creatine a drinking is fine as long as your water intake is high enough. if you are heavily drinking i do suggest you cut it back.

Im drinking enough water... What I heard is that taking both creatine and alcohol is putting to much stress on my liver, but I also heard that creatine affecting the liver is only a myth. Is it?

Not really sure, but i know it can be a tax on your liver if you dont drink enough water when your on it, i know from first hand experience, the doctor showed me my results after i had an echocardiogram, among many other tests done. A couple beers a week is fine but i wouldnt get wasted like twice a week or something

i meant what i said. they both mean the same thing. anyway quoted from wikipedia:

An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG, abbreviated from the Dutch Elektrokardiogramm) is a graphic produced by an electrocardiograph, which records the electrical voltage in the heart in the form of a continuous strip graph. It is the prime tool in cardiac electrophysiology, and has a prime function in the screening and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.

in all honesty...
back in my earlier college years i would binge drink 4 days/nights a week and still worked out hard when i wasnt intoxicated. even with all the alcohol i was able to make gains and be productive in the gym...yea alcohol isnt the best thing in the world, but moderate does have its benefits. personally, and especially at that time of my life, i rather have my lifestyle over working out

now i drink much less and i will say that i do make gains easier, i am leaner, and my fat % dropped significantly. so yes, bb is easier without alcohol.

i also took creatine mono and never had a problem with alcohol, just drink plenty of water and drink a lot of water before you goto bed.

anytime anyone even mentions alcohol in this forum people jump all over it like its going to kill you and all aspects of your workout-this is not the case. just be mature about it, and with everything else in life, dont abuse it
