Documenting the ups and downs of my daily life. Diet, Daily Routine, everything outside of training.

Since most of you don't know me, I'll start off with a short bio of myself.

Age: 20

Sex: M

Height: 6'1

Weight: 227 plus or minus 2-3

Bodytype: meso/endo

Current Bodyfat: 12-13%

AND A BRIEF HISTORY CHECK:

- I started out training trying to improve myself for Sport. I played Football and was a wrestler. Anyway, out of high school I was being recruited heavily by a lot top tier football schools, but knew I was only going along for the ride as I graduated with a GPA I still laugh at today. I ended up at Rochester Community College playing junior college football. I played two seasons there, the maximum years one can play at the junior college ranks. So to make a long story short the majority of my weight training was to improve for sport. Strength and Speed were my priorities. I did a lot of Powerlifting/Olympic Lifting from the time I was a Senior in high school up until the Fall of 2005. I partly geared my time toward Hypertrophy but it more or less came with the volume and load that heavy training puts on your body. This is all leading up to where I am at now btw. So after my JUCO years were done, I had plans to go on and play my final two years of college football. This is roughly Decmber 2005 I'm talking of. So my Spring Semester comes around and I'm lifting and eating religously, just ask my parents for verification, and at this time my training was 100% hypertrophy specific. I started frequenting the forums more and more, obtained my PT certificate and started working with athletes and I currently work with two competitive natural bodybuilders as well. Alright I'll jump ahead. I've always liked Bodybuilding, since I was 13 and had pictures of FLEX athletes taped all over my walls, my mom used to yell at me to take them down  So sometime in the spring I decided that's what I wanted to do, even though I still Love football. I've always been extremely competitive and I always have to strive for something so I decided it would be in bodybuilding where I would display this passion I have. Thus here I am and luckily I've obtained some excellent friends along the way who are extremely supportive. I've also made the commitment to being a Lifetime Natural. My family has always been supportive of me and thus I have them to thank as well. So here I am a little under 7 months away from my first competition.

Today:

Arm L (relaxed): 15 7/8 in

-2 whole egg
-1 piece veggy cheese
-green beans
-1 sc whey
-3/4 cup steel cut oats

10-14-2006, 06:11 PM
meal after post workout shake:

-1 sweet potato
-1 cup brown rice
-4 oz chicken breast
-3 oz shrimp
-4 oz green beans

Supplements used for the day:

-2 ADAM Multis
-5 scoops GlycerGrow
-4 scoops Purple Wraath - during workout
-3-4 sc. whey isolate
-8000-10000 mg Fishoil
-4000 mg CLA
-4000 mg Flax
-2 EGCG caps
-2 sc. greens

I've been in good mood all day. Wisconsin won Huge in Our border Battle, 48-12 so I've been delighted. At the gym they were playing Sirius HARD ATTACK, so it made things more pleasant instead of listening to Led Zeppelin over and over. The gym was free of loners and only hardcore members this afternoon which always makes things better. Tomorrow, off day which is much needed, to get caught up on studies and relaxing
check my journal for workout summary. Out

I like to throw my body off every 7-10 days. It keeps me sane and sets my body off. Tonight's example was a bit extreme  I will admit. I've also been reading more about structured fasting, a technique I'm going to try next deload.

"Extreme Muscle Enhancement" by Carlon Colker M.D.

It's a pretty simple explanation. Basically you eat a morning meal preferably a liquid one then fast the entire rest of the day and night. Then the next morning immediately when you wake up eat a meal very high in protein and healthy fat. Colker claims the rebound effect is enormous. There are more details than just that but that's the basic layout. If your interested I'll get you some finer legs

Tonight performed this after workout:

Did 15 minutes of posing in the locker room and didn't bring a camera  I had two buds watch me and both said they were very impressed, which is good to hear considering i'm over 6 months out

my best poses as of now according to myself and those two:

-Side Tricep (Best one)
-back double bicep (Both say my back development makes me look like I'm juicing) which put a big smile on my face
- Side Chest
- Calves are showing considerable improvement

Weakest pose(s)
-Most Muscular - Just not in good enough condition yet and in general just a weak pose for me, oh well
-Front Lat spread - = just not in shape yet

I will have some pictures up before Monday

Tomorrow... Upper body - shoulders, triceps, Major, rest minor

RBEliminator
10-21-2006, 11:12 AM
The Central Midwest Bodybuilding Championships ia a WNBF pro qualifier. The Mr. Natural MN is not a Pro Qualifier. I expect more competition at The Central Midwest.

Here's a page to this year's winners
http://www.nanbf.org/contests_show.htm

Jesse Godderz was the overall winner at The Central Midwest and earned his pro card.

Chad Herr won the Mr. Natural MN overall. Layne Norton competed here as well and placed 3rd in the men's Open Medium Class.

i'd rather my name not be associated with that contest. God did I f**k that one up.

Heading to see the NPC Northern States Natural Classic tonight. Should be some good competition, I hope. I believe it is a non pro qually but nonetheless I saw pics of last years overall and solid is what I can say.

Thought I would paste my daily consumption of supplements. This is all in addition to of course the most Solid Food plan I can do within my budget. i'll post my diet as well this week due to high demand

CL Purple Wraath - 4-5 scoops during workout/depending on day
CL White Blood - 3-4 caps around bedtime
CL Green Magnitude - 1 sc. during worokout/ 1 sc at 4-5AM with protein
CL GlycerGrow - 5-6 sc. during workout
CL Red Acid - ...
Xtend - 2-4 sc daily
Now Multi, CLA, EGCG - with meals
Kirkland Fish oil, Flax oil - meals
Dymatize Micro Creatine, ISO-100, Elite whey - no mono, average 5-6 sc whey daily
Syntrax Matrix, Fyre (testing) - 1-2 sc matrix daily, 3-4 Fyre caps preworkout
Spirit Garden greens - 1-2 T daily

RBEliminator
10-24-2006, 09:42 PM
Due to my obsession with finding new ways to build lean mass, I've been doing this the last two nights:

-Wake 3 AM - 2 scoops Xtend
-wake 5 AM - ! sc Whey, 1 sc. Green Mag
-Wake 6 AM - 2 scoops Xtend
-Wake up at 8AM

So far I'm noticing:

-Improved fullness when waking
-Definete improvement in vascularity( Woke up this morning with thick veins running through my bi's and forearms) :)
-don't wake up nearly as hungry

-I have been waking up much more thirsty though, so I will counter that with an increase in water intake at each time I wake up

I'll keep you updated on this as I continue on.

RBEliminator
10-25-2006, 07:13 PM
Alright well waking up thrice times in one night is getting to be to much. So I've modified it to look like this:

Wake 3 AM - 3 scoops BCAA's
Wake 6 AM - 1 sc whey/ 1 sc Green Mag
Wake 8 AM

Last night I had a hard time falling back asleep, and my day certainly showed it. However I still feel the benefits are worth it.

I'm not really happy with my bodyfat as of late. I am gaining mass but it is as if I am gaining BF at around the same rate. Next week is a deload week and I will also increase cardio and cut back on the cals for the entire week and potentially as long as 10-14 days.

Nice... and nice updates on the diet adjustments as well. Amazing isn't it that regardless of the amount of nutrition or training knowledge one has, adjustments are always necessary (sometimes surprising ones).

I dunno... I've been thinking about the irony of that lately with my own situation.

- Just bought 75 pounds of ground RIBEYE @ drumroll... $1.25/lb.

-Just got a New Dell Laptop, actually typing on it right now. Intel Duo Core 2 chip, fast as lightning. Been needing a new comp for a while and it was way past due

- Currently on Deload week, things are going great. Just had a posing session tonight with a Natural Competitor of 20+ years, great guy and most definetely going to be a help as I get closer in the coming months.

- Got to spend time over the weekend with my new niece. She just ed hit 5 months. CUTEST baby ever, I kid you not.

- I've changed my attitude and approach toward competing. Originally when I decided to 4 months ago or so, I told myself I only wanted to be competitive. Well, after talking with a couple of guys close to the sport and hearing their opinions I'm now set on Winning the Pro Card. The one guy has competed in over 40+ natural shows and he has told me several times now after working with him, that if I come in good enough shape he says there is no reason I shouldn't win the Overall. I of course don't know what to think of this, I'm still staying humble toward everything and just want to come in as good as I can.

- Lastly, I've also got a special going through the end of year for Training. I don't like to pimp myself on this website, but if anyone is interested email me and I can get some more information sent to you.

That's about all for now. Tomorrow I'm bringing my camera to the gym, tomorrow is a cardio day and posing day. If I like the shots I'll post a few on here, if not I won't. This will most likely be the last time I have a camera before Christmas so better hope the pics look good

I've been thinking over the past few weeks. Thinking things dealing with bodybuilding, life, pretty much everything I'm involved in. Do you ever think to yourself why do you do what you do? Why do I bodybuild? Why is it so important to me? Is it because it's in my blood? Am I truly a different breed?

I came up with my own personal answers, but are they really the right ones? Do I even know?

I feel bodybuilding is something more than just picking up a weight or eating 10 oz of chicken three times daily. It's a way of life. Much like running is to a marathon runner or cooking is to a chef who really loves to cook. Lifestyle. Something that you and I can do where we can strive to be our best in. Display the passion that we have inside of us. I don't know if I'll ever know the answer, but one thing can be said for sure! I sure as hell Love to Bodybuild!

- Start looking for a solid PT job. Anywhere in the Twin City metro area. Online training just ain't cutting it

- I get to BUMP up my BCAA/EAA intake finally. I'm really excited about this.

- After Lunging 185 for 2 sets of 15 each leg Friday, my glutes are still killer sore. :)

- I can't think much more right now, but when I think of something else I'll put it up

Damn I just got done playing some Nintendo Wii. Played my roomate in several rounds of bowling and boxing. Wii is the bomb. Fully interactive gaming system. If you haven't checked out a Wii yet, I highly advise you to check it out. Not a bad workout either if you into the boxing pretty heavy.

Anyway I'll update on how things are going:

- I'm officially starting my diet sometime in the first week of January. I've got a special man doing my contest prep for me...Ok it's Layne Norton, some of you might know him... ;) He'll be keeping me on track throughout my diet, I mean someone has to. :)

- My lifts are still increasing  and the guys over at Controlled Labs are getting more respect out of my colleagues(and myself of course) each passing day. woot!

- My goal is still to get 275 x 10 on the bench press, today I almost got 7 reps, 6 reps on my own and 7 with just a tap. I'll get to 10, I can guarantee it! Or else!

From here on fella's! IT'S ON!

GFH!

Well my progress has slowed a bit. i've come down with sickness since saturday night, I hadn't lifted since Tuesday of last week because of the Holidays and now I'm at least 5 pounds lighter than I was early last week. hopefully I'll be able to go in tomorrow and get a very light workout in so I can sweat some of the **** out of my system. I'll keep it updated.

I've finally got my calories back to where they were at. My appetite was killed from only drinkin gatorade and whey protein from when I was sick.

My strength was way down from prior to being sick. My bench press numbers were 15-20 lbs lighter in reps and everything else seemed much heavier. F***ing pissed is an understatement. Tomorrow is a lower body workout, and I cant wait for the joy that will bring

Anyway, enough ramblin, I'll post something up tomorrow

Todays's weight: 219
At one point in the offseason my weight reached as high as 230. My projected contest weight is 192-197.

To this point everything's been going well, my diet is posted above as well as my training split, but my split has now changed.

Day 1: Chest, Arms (re-feed day)
Day 2: Lower body
Day 3: off, HIIT Cardio

Sounding good man ! I was just going to ask what are your strengths / weaknesses at this point as far as symmetry... but then I read a few posts above... sounds solid !

1) Just curious, what is your incline bench vs. flat for both DB / BB ?

2) You may notice that the nEuphoria helps more with extended duration cardio vs. HIIT... I've noticed a world of difference (especially with music / TV anything to "focus" on.. nEuphoria will enhance this effect).

Awesome updates...

My PR on BB incline is 275 x 5, and the 100 DB's x 12. My PR on BB Flat Bench is 275 x 8, and the 120 DB's x 6. So, not a whole world of difference between my incline and flat bench.

The main symmetry issues I'm working to "hide" through my posing is my shoulders dominating my chest and bicep peaks. Particularly in poses such as a front double bicep and rear double bicep.

MY shoulders are my most dominating bodypart, and my chest is in relation my least. I have large biceps, but the insertion points don't favor the desirable peak.

But as I've come to learn, these things can be minimized through posing properly, displaying strengths and hiding weaknesses. This is what I'm working on nailing down.

Wow, I had the sickest pump today, on a refeed day. It was insane. I was doing chest and Arms. Anyway I came in feeling and looking really full and big. But once I started pounding the DB's on the incline and supersetting that with BB Curls, BAM! My veins were rock hard. I guarantee people were asking questions, everywhere I looked people were staring. Hell, if I had seen me today I would have immediately thought Roids. I don't know what was up, but 4 straight days of 200g of carbs then today at 350g really sparked vascularity and fullness.

I got 135 x 6 on barbell curl, which is a new PR. Previous was for 5. Did I mention I'm dieting??? lol

Thanks guys. Pt things are on track thus far. Layne's help is doing A LOT of the work as far as timing and things go. The main part is you just NEED to stay on track, hit your numbers each for calories and don't go OVER. basically just making the sacrifice that is precontest dieting. Which is why so few choose to compete.

Either way thus far I'm very pleased with how things are going, but it's just the beginning. I'm just taking things one day at a time, cuz when I start to think weeks and months it seems impossible. But the day to day approach makes it more real. :)

Chest and Arms workout tonight. Threw in a Pre-Exhaust set and noticed my fatigue levels might have set in a littler sooner than in the past. I suppose 2300 calories might have a slight effect on that.

I did Machine flyes then immediately did Flat BB Bench. I wasn't even concerned with Reps or weight just the mind muscle connection. Getting a Large ROM and really feeling it in the Chest.

Had a Tiny Snack yesterday for the Super Bowl, we had a party at my parents place. I factored it into my daily allowance still.

Now when my 21st B-day happens in a month from now, A LOT of pressure is going to be on me to whatelse Get Wasted. Friends have already been asking when? I can't give in. NO CHOICE. That will mark TEN weeks out, way to close to be Getting Drunk. NO! I'll celebrate my 21st after my Last comp May 19th.

A1) Squat 8 x 10-15, thats right 8 sets of 10-15 reps.

135 x 15
185 x 12
225 x 12
275 x 12
275 x 10

Finale' Drop-set to finish: 235 x 12, 185 x 12, 135 x 15.

Superset

A2) Lying leg curl 8 x 10-15 (3 sets accounted for a drop set)

B1) DB Lunges 3 x 10-12 paces each leg

superset

B2) Natural Glute Ham Raise 3 x failure

C1) Leg Ext. 5 x 10-15 with a drop set incl.

superset

C2) Standing Calf Raise 4 x 12-18

D1) Seated Calf Raise 5 x 12-18 drop set incl.

It was a solid leg workout, considering my lower body has maintained A LOT of its' strength, but still lower than my offseason weights.

Got these last night actually. First one is 275 x 12 of squats. Not a lot of weight, but for 8.5 weeks out, going as low as possible and no spotter I was happy. Besides I don't squat on stage lol.

Triple Drop set of Squats. Again not Real heavy.

Just under 8 weeks out from the Central Midwest Championships. My weight this morning was 205.2, my legs are holding onto a lot of their strength as was evident in my leg workout last night.

Here are some highlights:

Squats 8 sets total, worked to 275 x 2 sets of 10-12. and finished with a drop set 245 x 10, 225 x 6, 225 x 5.

Supersetted that with Natural Glute Ham Raises, did 6 sets of those, 2 sets holding 5 pound plates in each hand. 6-8 reps

Tonight shoulders and triceps. Last week someone told me my tri's are lagging so I expect tonights tri workout to be killer. I feed off criticism!

No doubt man! :)

Last night's Shoulder/Tri workout was Sweet. Other than the fact some of my endurance and strength has gone down I pushed the bar on intensity, I didn't care, I had the vision of the man telling me my tri's were lagging from weeks before stuck in my head the entire time...

THis morning's weight was 204.4 or .6? or .2? My jeans are fitting looser, but everything else is normal. Energy levels are still good, some days better than others but good for the most part.

I'll give a little rundown on my current macro numbers:

Lo-carb days:

- 260 g protein
- 175 g carbs
- and as of today my fat levels are dropping from 50 g to 40 g

Re-feed days:

- 200 g protein
- 325 g carbs
- 40 g fats

Next update I'll give a rundown of my current supplements and dosages

Creatine (Green Mag)

Sesamin (Sesaglow)
- 3 caps daily

Energy/Fat burn (Red Acid 2)
- 3 caps pre-wokrout

Test(Blue-Up)
- 2-3 caps preworkout

My morning weight today was 204.0

Things are gettin down there. Tomorrow is the 7 week out mark, but my goal is to be ready at the 2 week out point. Meaning 5 more HARD weeks of dieting to get there, then just coast lol(yeah right)! I hope to get some pics up this weekend, but if not I'll definetely get some at the 6 week out mark.

Also, I still haven't decided on a song for my posing routine. Here is what I've narrowed my choices down to:

- POD Alive
- Van Halen (Top Gun) it's not the same song your thinking of, it's all music and no words
- Theme music from Rocky
- Karate Kid soundtrack song, you know the one
- Saliva Ladies and Gentelmen (although I'm sure others will have this song?)

Atmosphere - Even more human than human (ft. Rob Zombie)
Nonpoint - Endure
Nonpoint - In the air tonight
Godzilla Soundtrack - Come With Me
Stone Temple Pilots - Down
Stone Temple Pilots - Plush
Prodigy - Breathe
Prodigy - Firestarter
Rob Zombie - Feel So Numb
Drowning pool - Bodies
U2 - Window in the Skies
Nine inch nails - Dead souls
Limp Bizkit - Hold on

My weight this morning was 203.0 the first two times I stepped on, then I got 202.6 the third time.

Officially under seven weeks as of today. I'm projecting my final weight somewhere between 193-196. But it's not really important, as long as I'm shredded. :)

For my first two shows I used the Top Gun theme song (the instrumental). It's slow enough that you don't have to worry about rushing everything and you can work your poses in usiing specific parts/keys from the music. For my last show I was feeling a little more comfortable on stage and decided to speed it up using a mixed hip hop/rap combo (mostly Heavy D's Lean Back). I had more than a few people come up to me and tell me that the routine was pretty good and the music worked awesome. Just pick something that you're comfortable with and that you can match some poses to. Most people out there their first time forget half the routine anyway. Make sure you're comfortable with make things up as you go, just in case...

198.2 this morning. Something about those refeed days always has me weighing less the next morning, which is a good thing.

Legs last night went well. I took 3 Erg Amps and 2 heaping scoops of white flood and definetely had the rush going. Best of both worlds, the focus, clarity of the amp and the "rush" from the white flood provided plenty in the tank. Good sh*t

Balancing right now is a fun time, between work, dieting, gettin to the gym, and all the other tasks performed on a weekly basis; needless to say it's leaving me with little free time. Basically spent gettin on here, updating, answering emails, and cookin' and preparing meals for the next day.

I've already planned out several "binging" ideas for post contest. One is definetely going to include a trip to IHOP for some cream cheese French toast. Just saying that makes my eyes water.. Nuff said

part of it is another phenomenon i've noticed and that is each successive time you diet down you look harder each time... even at the same bodyfat. I did not measure any different this year from what I did in 2004; but I looked much much harder. This is why typically the best competitors have many shows under their belt; though there are exceptions to the rule

here we o

Today was an HIIT only day, the same day I've done now for 13 straight weeks twice a week. 15 minutes of sprinting at a high school track, did I mention it was only 30 degrees up here today? And the wind was blowing. By the time I finished my ears were froze along with the rest of my "skinny" boyish body

I had my trunks fitted today; I ordered two pairs. Forest Green Velvet and Navy Blue Wet. NICE! Turns out the lady who runs cherry bombs is but 5 minutes from my work, pretty convenient.

Damn, I been real busy and although slightly less energy than I had 13 weeks ago I ain't feeling too bad...yet.

Chest workout tomorrow and a refeed. FEED ME!

If there were ONE place you could eat, or better yet one FOOD you could eat what would it be?? I'm trying to make a list of 3-4 meals I'm going to eat after my comps, and I could use some help if you felt up to it.

SO far I have for sure IHOP for Sunday morning B-Fast May 20th. I'm still deciding what my FIRST meal will be Saturday night though, haven't realy figured out anything SOLID yet. I'll only be using Sat night and sunday as my free days, then monday it's back to the diet again,so they have to be GOOD!

Oh and I'm 36 days out right now

I for sure want to hit Applesbee's (something about their Maple Butter Blondie dessert!!) and Hell's Kitchen....IHOP has been on the mind cuz of those dang commericials with the cinnamon french toast!!!....and pizza and mexican sometime.....oh yeah did I mention 24-36 hours....how am I going to make decisions about this....

Let me know what you come up with?!?!?

What are the placings (trophies) is it 1st - 3rd in each weight class or something ?

Big Poppa S
04-07-2007, 06:33 AM
We've always either had a pizza waiting for us for after the show or picked one up on the way home, plus some other goodies. Usually I've found that I'm only able to eat 1 or 2 pieces and that's it, I'm full. the next day however, we've usually hit Perkins or Smittys for breakfast and then maybe a burger or the left over pizza for lunch and finally either have a big homecooked meal made by mom or go out and splurge on a decent restaurant like The Keg or something (just to congratulate ourselves on another contest).

I wouldn't worry about comparing yourself to others right now, trust Layne I'm sure he's leading you in the right direction. 5 more weeks is alot of time to change/dry out/load up/etc. I've known guys who were ripped all year around and diet for 12 weeks to look almost the same, then there are the guys that cut 70 pounds for a contest and look totally different. People are just different and the only thing that matters is that you do everything in your power to present the best "you" onstage that you possible can, look at the changes you've made, this has already been a huge success even if you don't take the overall. Just keep it going 110% and force the judges/audience/etc to notice you onstage!!

...Remember at natural/drug tested shows it's usually conditioning that wins shows not size....so you're well on your way. Continued good luck.

I stopped reading there :);)

Seriously though, after looking at the pictures of last years competitors; and I know it's not fair way to base my assumptions off; but at the rate I am going, I 110% Honestly LIKE my chances. I've been working with a GREAT posing coach and I have Layne providing my blueprint all I'm doing is just following the proper steps, no complaining just being humble.

I weighed in at 197.0 on this beautiful Easter Sunday before church, just got back home. Today is also my fathers B-Day, they get to indulge on steak, mashed potatoes etc. I'm eating Chicken and 6 oz sweet pot.ato and timing it so it's also my postworkout meal consisting of 30% of my daily carb intake. Things like this, are why there are so few of us. But I love it. And by no means does that make me "hardcore", I could care less about that tag, I'm just doing what I need to do to put myself in the best position possible to achieve my Goal I set out to achieve.

That all :)

Sounds like your getting into a very depleted state (similar things happen to many competitiors) how are you sleeping, your rest will become more and more important over the last few weeks since you are pushing your body beyond the point where it wants to stop. Did you decide on your posing song yet? Top Gun?? Well, welcome to the "real" pre-contest, many bber's have made it to this point only to drop out at some point in the next 3-4 weeks, don't let yourself be one of those, just continue busting away at it with that one goal in mind, success is the only option....success is the only option....

Feeling better today, but not looking forward to the planned 20 minutes of HIIT for tomorrow. My irritability has increased, meaning if someone is trying to explain something to me or tell me something or ask something, I notice I don't have near the patience I once did.

I was 193.6 this morning, my lowest weight yet. Right out of bed my image in the mirror was Sick. I had veins everywhere and my hams are certainly starting to come through, as well as signs in my glutes. My lower abs are drying out and my waist is like a piece of paper now.

I should have some pics uploaded Today, :)

Nice, I find that most people have trouble understanding the whole irratibility factor of dieting (especially if they're not familiar with bodybuilding).

3 weeks out (21 days today) from the Central Midwest Championships and 4 weeks (28 days) out from the Natural Minnesota

Here is a short update from the past few days.. Also, I need to apologize on my behalf to the lack of updates, etc. I thought I was updating more but after glancing over my updates and stuff I realized I'm not doing a good enough job filling the masses in with much important stuff.

- Energy levels right now are LOW.
- Surprisingly though as my energy levels are low my cardio endurance is very HIGH. I suppose 6 days a week of cardio will do that for you.

- Strength levels are down, but vascularity and lines are everywhere. FREAKY, and still two more weeks until the final ONE :)

Pics coming by Monday again at the latest.
I'll try and jump on again tomorrow for a quick tidbit. Night community

192.0 this morning. When I first started back on January 10th, I was 221-222. At that time Layne and I had projected my final weight to be 190-195. Well I've already exceeded the 195 mark and I most likely will pass the 190 mark by the time I step on stage May 12th. But I should come in right around 190.

My lethargy is duhhh... like, and my sex drive is completely GONE! Nothing in the tank now. My joints become sore especially during my HIIT workouts.

The only bright side is cardiovascular endurance. Which right now is Very Good. Also the look on my girlfriends and co-workers and friends faces when I take my shirt off, there Shock is quite pleasing as well. I heard from a fella at the gym on Friday how my chemotherapy treatments were going.. I laughed but hardly

Leg night tonight on a refeed day went well. Here were my numbers Squatting:

185 x 12
225 x 10
265 x 8
275 x 6

These were up from last week, but last week I was feeling like piss  Whereas this time around I felt better.

Also, My energy only came around for my training session tonight. 3 caps of Amp combined with 3 caps of Blue Up stim version and 2 heaping scoops of White Flood preworkout, got me fired up enough to blast through one of my final Leg days before GO TIME. As a matter of fact I'm still in the "rush" zone right now as I sit here typing this, good stuff :).

After squats I did some lunges, Glute-Ham Raises, DB squats with my heels on 10 lb plates and wrapped it up with some DB jump squats and 6 more sets of calf work. Today was a long day to, I was up at 5:30 this morning, and just now gettin home coolin down.

2.5 weeks out from the Central Midwest Championships and 3.5 out from the Natural Minnesota. I'm ready; Confidence is HIGH, and I want that Pro Card as much as I ever did right now. It's Go Time!

Quick update:

- weight: 191.8 this morning.

lol, I'm with you on all that. I'm definetely going to take some serious time to think about when I'll be competing again after this. At least not for a year and probably more realistically two years down the road.

Until then I'm just cruising along, gettin' ready to step on stage

I'm telling you man, I went from 215 @ 13-14% bf to 179 @ 5-6% bf...you do the math on how much muscle I lost....we've learned so much doing this cut the first time, and I've seen first hand what truly eating clean can do for a body, I can't imagine what 2 years would do to me eating this clean in a caloric surplus....I'm thinking 220lbs 10% bodyat before I start cutting 20 weeks out again to step on stage at around 200lbs....PRO CARD....

No question I've got those same aspirations for the upcoming Summer/Fall/Winter months, I plan to push the envelope on what my physique can accomplish naturally, Not to mention dieting for the past 17 weeks and what it has taught me as well.

Ever consider moving out to Minnesota, I may just be lookin for a good training partner, experimenting buddy, etc ;)

I've got a TON of approaches I'm going to toy with over the next year+, I'm kind of toying with running 6-10 week periods using different applications, training methods, dieting techniques, etc.

But until then 110% focused on bringin' my A+ game into these two contests. I will not be outconditioned nor will I be outworked, it's just not in my blood.

- HIIT today was terrible. The 20 minutes seemed like 20 years... But I still managed
- Updated pics coming tomorrow; they didn't turn out very well, I was feelin' flat and restless. But I'll still post em'

- Last "Real" leg day tomorrow, before the final week..

- Diet is right on track, and I'm hoping my order of Supplements arrives tomorrow, otherwise I'm goin' to be pushin it real close to runnin out of BCAA's (Purple Wraath) if it comes Tuesday instead. Crosses fingers. Alright, lights out. Sleep tight ;)

I suppose I considered tonight my last leg workout before I compete. Last "real" leg workout. It went well, 3 caps of Amp, 2 caps Red Acid and two scoops White Flood  despite my lethargy and aching knees, ankles, etc. not which I'm complaining of however. I managed enough to get up ;)

I'm 11 days away from leaving for Des Moines, Iowa. To compete in the Central Midwest Championships and compete for dat dere' damn Pro Card that is truly What I am after. I've been told I have a shot, I feel I have a shot, and dammit I will not be outworked, and I will have Shredded Glutes Dammit :)

Do I sound a bit cocky, conceded etc... Damn Right I do, dieting for 18 straight weeks will do that to you. Although if you met me, I would be much different, I think at least.

I'm just ranting off, venting, cuz I'm damn excited, nervous, all the above. Let's get this BABY over with, and givin it 115%. As little John would say "Lets' GO!!!!"

Hey Kyle, are you still keeping up with the NON-HIIT cardio? Brisk walking etc for >40mins? At the rate you're losing, it doesn't seem like you need to do it. Or are you losing that quickly cos you're still doing low intensity cardio?

Then super light full-body routine Fri w/ 15 minutes cardio.

- All settin' me up to PEAK :) Sat. Morning for Prejudging.

- My cardio has been so boring I've literally been switching machines every 5-10 minutes to keep myself sane

- Here I will post some of the delicious foods I get to nibble as I start my Saturday morning prep at 4 AM.
- Steak (tenderloin actually)
- Pizza (3 meat)

Just countin' down the days now. Three days and off to Iowa

Everything is cruisin' along as planned. Applied my first coat of Dream tan Stain this morning at 5 AM, let it soak for 2 hours then rinsed it off. I think I rinsed it to soon, so tomorrow I'm just gonna shower first, apply and head to work with the full coat on and let it soak in all day. Then rinse off when I get home. I want it to truly set in

- I'll kind of break down my final days plan, or at least tidbits here and there, can't give to much info out

- today was 200, 235, 35 pro/carbs/fats
- sodium 3000 mg
- 2 gals water total, including oatmeal water, etc.

- Back and Bi's today with 30 minutes cardio.

Last night was Legs, 8 sets for quads, 6 each for hams and calves. Rep ranges were 6-20, everything 2-4 reps shy of failure, all was done in circuit fashion, completed all leg training in about 50 minutes. And was SPENT.

Same goes for back and bi's in circuit fashion, or very short rest periods. Then same for tomorrow chest, shoulders and tri's.

Then thursday a light full body circuit routine, followed by a short 20 minutes or so LIGHT full-body routine Friday when I get down to the hotel.
